BYD Launches All-New Dolphin G DM-i Plug-in Hybrid in Europe

BYD has officially unveiled the all-new Dolphin G DM-i, a compact plug-in hybrid hatchback, in the European market. The lineup consists of four variants, with pricing starting from €25,200 (Spanish market). Featuring a refreshed design and strong power and range performance, the Dolphin G DM-i represents a significant push by BYD into the European market.

The new Dolphin G DM-i does not simply carry over the design of the versions sold in Hong Kong and China's mainland. Instead, it adopts an entirely new and more dynamic exterior design language. The front features bold, distinctive headlights paired with black trim elements to create a striking full-width light signature, adding depth and visual impact. A large lower grille complemented by three-dimensional side air intakes further enhances the commanding presence of the front end. The vehicle measures 4.16 metres in length with a 2.61-metre wheelbase, offering a compact yet practical size.

The side profile is equally eye-catching, with sharp character lines running from front to rear and a black C-pillar that creates a stylish floating-roof effect. Dynamic black alloy wheels are fitted as standard, while the semi-recessed door handles improve both aesthetics and aerodynamics. Overall, the design feels youthful, modern, and fashion-forward.

The Dolphin G DM-i is equipped with BYD's advanced DM plug-in hybrid system. It offers an all-electric range of over 100 kilometres. With a full tank of fuel and a fully charged battery, the total combined range reaches up to 1,000 kilometres. This combination delivers efficient electric driving for daily commutes and worry-free long-distance capability, making it highly practical for consumers.
