Following its domestic launch in Japan, Nissan has chosen Hong Kong as the global debut market for the all-new Elgrand. According to official channels, the indicative price is set below HK$880,000.

The all-new Elgrand adopts a "maglev train" design philosophy, creating a unique presence ideal for long-distance journeys. Drawing inspiration from the maglev's characteristics of high speed, smoothness, and silence, the vehicle combines an authoritative stance with a dynamic and elegant silhouette.

The front grille incorporates intricate patterns inspired by traditional Japanese "kumiko" woodcraft. The body features clean, expansive lines paired with refined detailing, embodying the Japanese garden aesthetic of negative space and meticulous craftsmanship, resulting in a sophisticated and multi-layered appearance.

The new Elgrand is significantly larger than its predecessor in length, width, and height. Its substantial road presence surpasses that of the popular Toyota Alphard in the same class, projecting an even more imposing and premium demeanor.

Two new exclusive premium paint colours have been introduced: FUJI DAWN inspired by the breathtaking sunrise over Mount Fuji, and SHIGOKU derived from a noble colour symbol in Japan — both exuding a strong sense of luxury.

The interior is designed as a dedicated private lounge. The elevated driving position offers an expansive forward view through the large windshield, while the minimalist dashboard creates a strong sense of spaciousness. Replacing the previous through-type design, the new model features a wide and tall centre console that significantly enhances privacy for rear passengers.

The cabin extensively utilises soft-touch leather and wood-grain trim. Door panel stitching echoes the kumiko pattern on the front grille for a cohesive and refined aesthetic. It also introduces seamless touch controls integrated with the wood trim and, for the first time, a 14.3-inch integrated central display, creating a highly modern and technological atmosphere.

Audio and ambient features are equally impressive. The vehicle is equipped with a flagship BOSE 22-speaker surround sound system, delivering an immersive 3D audio experience. A 64-colour ambient lighting strip runs continuously from the dashboard through the doors, enhancing the premium and relaxing cabin mood. The seats are upholstered in exclusive custom fabric featuring the elegant "Shitan" colour scheme with purple-blue accents.

The new Elgrand is powered by Nissan's third-generation e-POWER hybrid system, featuring a new high-efficiency ZR15DDTe engine paired with a 5-in-1 integrated hybrid power unit. This compact unit integrates the motor, generator, inverter, transmission, and gear reducer, significantly improving rigidity, quietness, and fuel efficiency while delivering smooth and powerful performance befitting a luxury MPV.

The system produces a maximum output of 340 PS and peak torque of 500 Nm. Combined with a new chassis platform, high-rigidity body structure, and enhanced sound insulation, the Elgrand achieves exceptional levels of driving silence and ride comfort. The entire range comes standard with 4WD, featuring the upgraded e-4ORCE intelligent electronic four-wheel control system.

During normal driving, the e-4ORCE system intelligently distributes torque between the front and rear motors to minimise body pitch during acceleration and deceleration. When cornering, it utilises rear motor torque together with integrated motor and brake control for more composed handling. The driver's instrument cluster provides real-time feedback on the status of all four motors and brakes.

The model is also equipped with Intelligent Dynamic Variable Damping Suspension (IDS), which automatically adjusts damping force at each wheel according to driving conditions to reduce body roll and further enhance comfort. Six driving modes are available, allowing drivers to tailor the powertrain, four-wheel control, and suspension characteristics to suit different environments — from urban streets to highway cruising.

The all-new Elgrand is equipped with comprehensively upgraded Nissan ProPILOT 2.0 and ProPILOT intelligent driver assistance systems. New additions include low-speed hands-free driving assistance (below 50 km/h) and signal-controlled automatic lane-change assist, which significantly reduce driver fatigue in heavy traffic and congested city conditions, greatly improving both safety and convenience.
