The flagship D-platform MPV from Leapmotor, the D99, officially began pre-sales in mainland China on June 25. According to previous information, the vehicle will also debut at the 2026 International Automotive & Supply Chain Expo (Hong Kong), opening on June 18. The new model breaks industry norms by pioneering an integrated cockpit and driving central domain control system, offering flexible cabin space configurations and choosing between range-extended electric and pure electric powertrain options. Its overall product appeal is highly impressive.

The Leapmotor D99 features a smooth, rounded bullet-shaped body design complemented by highly distinctive split headlamps, establishing an exclusive family design language. The lower main light source boasts a square design, while the upper full-width daytime running light strip incorporates angular designs on both sides, creating strong visual layering.
According to official information, the new model is equipped with million-pixel DLP projection headlamps, combining excellent illumination with advanced technological appeal. For exterior colors, five options are available: Photon White, Liquid Silver, Morning Realm Blue, Sky Dome Grey, and Metallic Black, offering diverse choices.

The side profile features clean and sophisticated lines, highlighted by a silver decorative strip that outlines a smooth roof arc and thickens at the D-pillar to enhance the vehicle's solid appearance. The hidden sliding door track is positioned below the third-row glass, ensuring a cleaner and more refined side silhouette.
All windows above the roofline are finished in black, matched with large gloss gold-finished wheels, significantly boosting the overall luxurious feel. The new model is equipped with a massive panoramic sunroof spanning 1.46 square meters, offering over 99.9% UV blocking capability. It not only provides excellent natural lighting but also delivers outstanding heat and sun protection performance.
The rear design maintains a smooth and minimalist style, with the full-width taillight directly connected to the rear window to create a seamless visual effect. The brand name "LEAPMOTOR" is positioned below the taillight, adding to the premium aesthetic.

A key highlight is the taillight's ISD smart interactive light screen feature, supporting multiple light interaction modes and brimming with technological appeal. The entire rear design avoids unnecessary complexity, featuring a generous and enduring aesthetic.
One of the D99's greatest highlights is the industry-first integrated cockpit and driving central domain control system, powered by a side-end large model intelligent cockpit, comprehensively upgrading the smart experience. The center console adopts an ultra-minimalist design, equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a floating large central display screen, a HUD head-up display, and a ceiling-mounted entertainment screen for rear passengers, ensuring comprehensive entertainment and information display configurations throughout the cabin.

In terms of hardware, the vehicle features the industry's first-ever 1280 TOPS dual Snapdragon 8797 chipsets. The immense computing power provides robust support for intelligent interactions and assisted driving, promising smooth intelligent operation and rich functionality. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with the VLA large model assisted driving system, comprehensively enhancing driving intelligence and safety.

Cabin space flexibility is a core selling point of the D99, supporting multiple practical space modes: the first and second rows can fold flat to form a bed, the third row supports 180-degree flat folding, and the second and third rows can be jointly folded down to create an extra-large flat space. Notably, the third row also features a dedicated fishing seat function, delivering exceptional practicality.

The trunk adopts a recessed storage design to achieve a completely flat cargo area, significantly improving space utilization. In terms of premium configuration, the new model is equipped with second-row rotatable zero-gravity captain's seats that support 90-degree viewing angles and face-to-face seating between the second and third rows. A dedicated large table is also installed inside, making it suitable for both leisure travel and business use.
Other detailed configurations include an operable sunroof and a full-width ring-style cabin ambient lighting system, creating a comfortable and high-quality riding environment.

Regarding powertrain, the Leapmotor D99 offers both range-extended and pure electric versions to meet diverse user travel needs. The range-extended version features an 800V high-voltage range-extended platform, introducing the industry's first dual-motor electric four-wheel drive range-extended architecture. It utilizes range-extended CTC (Cell to Chassis) battery-chassis integration technology paired with an 80.3kWh large-capacity battery pack, achieving a balanced combination of range and power performance.
The pure electric version is equipped with a full-stack 1000V three-electric system and is the first to adopt CATL's 115kWh super hybrid battery cells, representing top-tier performance and range capabilities in the industry.
