Electric Range of 450km: Volkswagen ID.POLO Officially Rolls Off the Assembly Line

Volkswagen's new compact all-electric model, the ID.POLO, has recently completed assembly and rolled off the production line. The new vehicle largely adopts the design style of the ID.2all concept car, featuring an all-electric powertrain with battery options of varying capacities, offering a maximum range exceeding 450 kilometers, making it a new entry-level electric mobility choice for the brand.

In terms of exterior design, the ID.POLO fully inherits the classic styling of the ID.2all concept car. The front end features the closed design common to electric vehicles, complemented by a trendy full-width light strip. The Volkswagen logo in the center supports an illumination effect, providing high recognizability. Additionally, the front end incorporates three-dimensional and dynamic air intake lines, giving the entire car a more youthful vibe.

The side and rear body shapes closely match the concept car. The taillights also adopt a full-width design, with an illuminated brand logo placed at the center of the light cluster, echoing the front lighting design. Regarding dimensions, the new car measures 4050/1812/1530mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2600mm, offering excellent body proportions and spatial potential for a subcompact vehicle.

The interior layout largely retains the design framework of the ID.2all concept car, while incorporating optimized adjustments for details. The new model is equipped with a 12.9-inch floating central touchscreen, featuring a fully optimized interface menu for clearer operation logic. The instrument cluster blends the concept car's design with Volkswagen's family style, combining practicality with a sense of technology.

The steering wheel features a flat-bottomed, two-spoke design, paired with a dual-tone interior color scheme for superior texture. Additionally, the front center console includes a wireless phone charging function, aligning with Volkswagen drivers' daily usage habits.

Powertrain-wise, the ID.POLO offers three single-motor power calibrations with maximum outputs of 85kW, 99kW, and 155kW respectively. The vehicle is available with two battery options: 37kWh and 52kWh, corresponding to pure electric ranges of 329 kilometers and 454 kilometers.

The new car supports DC fast charging, capable of increasing the battery level from 10% to 80% in just 20 minutes, delivering excellent charging efficiency. Simultaneously, the vehicle is equipped with V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) external discharge functionality, with a maximum output power of 3.6kW, making it highly practical for outdoor camping and powering external appliances, offering comprehensive functionality.
