On May 29, 2026, the 30th Greater Bay Area Auto Show officially opened, with Dongfeng eπ's all-new M8 model making its public debut. The new vehicle offers both pure electric and REEV (Range-Extended Electric Vehicle) powertrain options and is among the first to feature Huawei's Qingkun ADS 5 Pro intelligent driving system.

Following the brand's design philosophy of "Simplicity is Ultimate Elegance," the Dongfeng eπ M8 features a split headlight layout with a full-width LED light bar across the top. The lower light cluster integrates seamlessly with a horizontal lower grille, effectively widening the visual front end and adding layered depth.

Additionally, the lower headlight cluster houses a dedicated small blue indicator light for intelligent driving, complemented by a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof, fully unlocking the hardware potential of Huawei's Qingkun ADS 5 Pro system. The M8 is available in five exterior colors: Mist Purple, Distant Blue, Moonlight Silver, Frost White, and Dark Black, catering to both understated luxury and youthful dynamism.

On the side, the M8 features the popular floating roof design with a fluid and streamlined silhouette. Its dimensions are 5,020mm in length, 1,975mm in width, and 1,733mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,025mm. It comes standard with a luxurious 2+2+2 six-seat layout, offering excellent passenger capacity and spacious practicality.
The interior is designed around core principles of minimalist luxury, intelligent interaction, and spacious six-seat comfort. The cabin features extensive soft-touch materials throughout, paired with a multi-screen interconnectivity system that blends premium quality with home-like comfort.

Key features are abundant, including a 50-inch AR-HUD (Augmented Reality Head-Up Display), dual-zone smart front and rear compartment coolers, a full-replacement fresh air system, dual first-class comfort seats, a dual-screen display setup, and a velvet panoramic sunroof—all designed to enhance both driving and passenger experiences comprehensively.

The Dongfeng eπ M8 is available in pure electric and REEV dual powertrain versions to suit different usage needs. The pure electric variant is built on an 800V platform, offering a CLTC range of up to 600km. The extended-range version utilizes a 4C fast-charging architecture, delivering a CLTC pure electric range of 300km. Notably, the M8 introduces the industry's first 16,000-ton integrated die-cast battery pack, achieving an optimal balance between body rigidity, battery safety, and vehicle lightweighting.
