Onvo L80 Pre‑sale Starts at RMB 159,800 with BaaS: Smart Dual‑Cabin Large Five‑Seat Flagship SUV

Onvo officially launched pre‑orders for its new flagship SUV, the L80, starting at RMB 245,800 for full purchase. Under the BaaS battery subscription plan, the starting price drops to RMB 159,800, with a monthly fee of RMB 899 for the 85kWh battery. The L80 will officially launch on May 15, 2026.

Flagship Twin‑Star Strategy

Alongside the L90, the L80 forms Onvo‘s “flagship twin‑star” lineup. Both models share the Nio NT3.0 platform and identical dimensions. The L80 removes the third‑row seats, dedicating all space to the first two rows and cargo — ideal for families needing a spacious five‑seat layout rather than six seats.

Industry‑Leading Storage Space

The L80 measures 5,145 mm in length, 1,998 mm in width and 1,766‑1,786 mm in height, with a 3,110 mm wheelbase — identical to the L90. Space utilisation reaches 81.5%, with rear legroom exceeding one metre.

Cargo capacity is a key differentiator. A 240‑litre front trunk — the largest available in a mass‑produced Chinese vehicle — can hold two 20‑inch suitcases plus a child’s suitcase. The standard boot offers 1,200 litres, expanding to 2,600 litres when rear seats are folded flat, creating a 2.2‑metre level floor. Dual under‑floor compartments (106 litres and 63 litres) and a total of 53 storage spaces bring the maximum storage capacity to 2,840 litres — the most of any mass‑produced five‑seat SUV in China.

Dual ADAS Options

Two intelligent driving solutions are offered. The pure‑vision version is powered by an NVIDIA Orin‑X chip. The LiDAR version features Nio‘s in‑house developed 5nm “Shenji NX9031” chip, combined with the Nio World Model (NWM), delivering class‑leading computing power.

The digital cockpit includes a 17.2‑inch 3K central screen, a 35‑inch AR‑HUD, and a rear entertainment screen, all powered by a Snapdragon 8295P chip running the SkyOS·Tianshu operating system. Four seats come standard with ventilation, heating and massage. An 8.8‑litre dual‑temperature refrigerator is also available.

900V Platform & Nio Swapping Network

The L80 is built on the NT3.0 platform with a full‑stack 900V high‑voltage architecture. The rear‑drive variant delivers 340 kW, accelerating from 0‑100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The all‑wheel‑drive version adds a 100 kW front motor, bringing total output to 440 kW and cutting acceleration to 4.7 seconds. A standard 85kWh battery pack provides a CLTC range of 570‑605 km, with an optional 102kWh battery also available.

600 kW ultra‑fast charging adds about 250 km of range in five minutes. The L80 also supports Nio’s battery swapping network, with access to over 3,500 stations nationwide — a full swap takes just three minutes. Air suspension with CDC adaptive damping and 4D Comfort Pilot road preview are standard.

Launch Timing

The L80 officially launches on May 15. Test drives will begin on May 1. Customers who place pre‑orders and lock their orders by July 31, 2026 will enjoy early bird benefits.

Competing in the RMB 200,000‑300,000 large five‑seat NEV segment, the L80 faces rivals such as the Li Auto L7 and Aito M7. Its advantages lie in exceptional cargo capacity, Nio‘s 900V platform and swapping network, and the accessible BaaS pricing. The Onvo L80 offers a compelling one‑stop pure‑electric solution for families prioritising space, smart features, and hassle‑free charging.
