According to the latest data from BYD Flash Charging, according to official news standards, there are 7,018 flash charging stations in 325 cities across the nation.
This data comes from an official large-scale cross-national multimedia event titled "2026 Silk Road 10,000 Mile Journey" in which BYD participated. In this event, besides providing vehicles, the energy replenishment for these vehicles would also be handled by the flash charging stations arranged nationwide.

I checked the list; the participating media were mainly official media, with the theme "10,000 Miles Silk Road Smart Travel Across Mountains and Seas". There are two routes: the domestic route starts from Xi'an, Shaanxi, passing through Henan, Anhui, Jiangxi, Zhejiang, Fujian, Guangdong, and other provinces; the international route goes overseas to countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Although specific mileage figures were not released, based on the 33 days spent crossing multiple provinces and cities, this mileage is definitely not low. This is exactly the reason for BYD's participation — while the traffic of this event may not be as high as certain self-media, it is an opportunity for many official personnel and official media to better understand BYD's vehicles and the flash charging experience.

Although participants cannot experience all 7,018 flash charging stations in 325 cities nationwide during this event, the flash charging stations along the way should leave a deep impression on participants. Because the data of "9 minutes per car for flash charging" has already achieved "universality", this means for BYD flash charging vehicles, its energy replenishment has already come with relatively high certainty.
How do the 7,018 flash charging stations compare with other competitors?
NIO: The data for battery swap stations + charging stations on July 1, 2026, was 9,056 stations;
Li Auto: The data before July 26, 2026, was 4,125 (5C) + 2,974 (above 200kW) = 7,099 stations;
Xpeng: As of June 30, 2026, the cumulative number of Xpeng self-operated charging stations reached 3,782.
Tesla: As of June 30, 2026, its Supercharger stations in mainland China exceeded 2,600.
Therefore, if looking at absolute numbers only, the 7,018 flash charging stations have reached a top-tier level. BYD cleverly avoided the two common industry challenges of grid expansion and land approval through the "Energy Storage Buffer" and "Station within Station" models.

Subsequently, if the goal of 20,000 stations by the end of the year can be achieved, the visibility of flash charging stations can also reach a new level.
However, locations such as highway service areas, city centers, and old towns still need to be tackled.
