Recently, Suzuki Motors officially released official images of the Jimny Rhino Special Edition.

The model was launched by Suzuki Australia, based on the five-door Jimny XL model, with a starting price of AU$44,990 (approximately RMB 214,600).

The new car was also released in a limited quantity of 30 units in the Malaysian market under the name 'Rhino Plus', priced at RM173,900.

As a special edition model focusing on individuality and collectibility, the Jimny Rhino puts significant effort into its visual design. In terms of appearance, the new car uses exclusive paint previously only available on the three-door model, paired with a black roof for a striking two-tone contrast.

The car body sides feature Rhino exclusive graphics, depicting a rhino image and Japanese characters 'Sa' (rhino), echoing the model naming and paying homage to the Jimny. Additionally, the new car is equipped with 15-inch 'Shuriken' diamond-cut alloy wheels, satin silver side skirts and front bumper trim, a retro-style front grille, and front and rear fenders, among other exclusive features. The rear features an exclusive Rhino badge, further strengthening identity recognition.

In terms of interior, the Rhino Special Edition also incorporates many exclusive elements. Door handles and passenger armrests are wrapped in black leather, accented with dynamic yellow stitching and laser-etched Rhino exclusive emblems. The cabin features dynamic yellow ambient lighting, 8-color footwell ambient lighting, a four-speaker Pioneer audio upgrade kit, rubber floor mats, and exclusive silver trim. Manual transmission models are also equipped with a retro-style gear shifter.

In terms of powertrain, the Jimny Rhino Special Edition has not undergone mechanical upgrades. The new car retains the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine of the current Jimny five-door, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system, with a maximum power of 75kW (approx. 102 hp) and peak torque of 130N·m. The transmission offers 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic options, with AllGrip Pro part-time 4WD system and low-range transfer case standard across the range.

Regarding pricing, the Rhino Special Edition is limited to 250 units in the Australian market. The manual version starts at AU$44,990, and the automatic version at AU$47,490, costing AU$10,000 more than the standard Jimny XL automatic.

The included 'Rhino Go Pack' travel kit contains over ten items of outdoor gear bearing the Rhino logo, including a metal key case, custom keychain, bucket hat, portable flashlight, water bottle, blanket, thermos, cooler box, portable Bluetooth speaker, and a Koko Black chocolate gift box. The new car will be delivered in Australia starting from July 1, 2026.

In the current landscape where rugged off-road vehicles generally trend towards 'large size and large displacement', the Jimny Rhino Special Edition carves out a differentiated track with its unique 'small off-road vehicle' positioning.

It no longer pursues ultimate off-road parameters, but focuses on individual expression and lifestyle creation. The scarcity of only 250 limited units further amplifies its attributes as a collectible.

For consumers who love the Jimny's classic off-road genes yet desire to showcase unique taste on daily streets, the Rhino Special Edition might be just the 'right' choice.
