Beijing Off-road brought a new annual model to the BJ30 Traveler series – BJ30 Traveler Highlight Edition. Beyond the original basic capabilities, the new vehicle has been upgraded in appearance, performance, and experience, to attract the attention of the target group with more distinct product features.
The BJ30 Traveler Highlight Edition launched a total of two models, fuel and hybrid, with an official guide price from 112,900 to 139,900 RMB, and a super trade-in price starting from 82,900 RMB. Along with the launch of the Highlight Edition, the BJ30 Traveler full series offers a 30,000 RMB super trade-in subsidy, with the super trade-in price starting from 69,900 RMB, shared by new purchase and trade-in users.
The BJ30 Traveler Highlight Edition continues the classic boxy shape, with a unique five-arc star ring full-width light, paired with a full set of electrified trendy modification kit, ensuring high recognition. The new vehicle is equipped with front and rear color-matched sport bumpers and exclusive star ring wheels, newly adding Lava Orange, Dome Blue, and Cold River Grey three exclusive paint colors. New orange interior and metal texture trim panels outline a certain sense of layering.
The new vehicle offers two power sets: 1.5T fuel and 1.5T hybrid. Among them, the hybrid version is equipped with the "Tri-power Four-Wheel Drive Six-Mode HEV Hybrid Architecture", the rear motor power increased from 55 kW to 70 kW, further improving power response. This car is equipped with an intelligent electric four-wheel drive system, equipped with electronic center lock, four-wheel electronic limited slip, and intelligent electric ATS all-terrain control system, balancing city commuting and outdoor light off-road travel scenarios. The new vehicle also replaced with a dedicated AGM battery, with a cycle life reaching 3 times that of ordinary batteries.
Compared to ordinary SUVs, the BJ30 Traveler Highlight Edition has a higher body and wider field of view. The vehicle adopts a three-row seven-seat layout, with a wheelbase reaching 2820 mm. After folding down the rear seats, it can form a 1.92 m ultra-long pure flat space, with a trunk maximum volume of 1496 liters. The whole car is also equipped with 38 storage spaces.
In terms of comfort configuration, the BJ30 Traveler Highlight Edition is equipped with seat ventilation/heating, steering wheel heating, wireless phone charging, 1.05 sqm panoramic sunroof, rain sensing automatic window closing, 64-color ambient lighting, and 10-speaker HiFi audio, etc., creating a comfortable driving and riding experience.
Previously, the BJ30 Traveler underwent a fuel-saving challenge in five countries: South Africa, Indonesia, UAE, Poland, and Mexico, with actual test fuel consumption per 100 km all lower than 5 liters, and a range exceeding 1000 km. At this launch event scene, the BJ30 Traveler welcomed the 150,000th unit off the line, becoming the fastest model to reach 150,000 sales in the Chinese light off-road SUV field. Beijing Off-road also partnered with CCTV Finance to livestream a teardown of the BJ30 Traveler driven 150,000 km, to showcase its durable quality.
On top of the super trade-in policy, Beijing Off-road also brought multiple benefits, including a whole vehicle lifetime warranty (limited to the first non-commercial owner), 0% down payment and other financial plans, full series lifetime OTA free upgrade, basic traffic free for life, etc. At the same time, buyers of the Highlight Edition can participate in World Cup champion and final score predictions to win up to 50,000 RMB purchase subsidies.
