June 6, the 212 Off-road Vehicle Huan Ta Closing Ceremony was held in Qingdao.
In the just concluded 2026 China Huan Ta International Rally, the 212 Off-road Vehicle team competed with mass-produced vehicles close to stock condition. During the 7,500 km extreme journey, they completed the cross-level challenge of '2.0T vs 3.0T', successively achieving 'two championships and one runner-up' in stages SS10-SS13. Finally, they became the only brand in the T2.1 Mass Production Manufacturer Team to complete 100% of the race, and won the runner-up title for the Manufacturer Team in that category.
The participating vehicle T01 this time has no heavy race modifications. It is equipped with the Huan Ta same powertrain -- 2.0T engine and ZF 8AT transmission. After testing throughout the event, the low-end torque burst is powerful, comparable to large-displacement models during Gobi climbing and full-load towing. Combined with BorgWarner large transfer case, high/low speed switching is swift. In 4L mode, torque can be amplified 2.64 times, achieving torque distribution on demand, ensuring stable power output during long-distance travel and less prone to failure. In terms of body structure, T01 adopts a non-load-bearing body with front and rear solid axles. The body does not deform when driving on off-road bumpy roads or potholes, and torsional rigidity is maxed out during heavy-load crossing. The chassis is specially optimized for Huan Ta extreme road conditions, ready to adapt to various complex road conditions straight from the factory. The entire body uses galvanized plates, fearless of Gobi gravel scrapes and not easy to rust. Additionally, T01 reinforces the roof load-bearing capacity of the passenger cabin with a 16% performance improvement. Combined with cage passenger cabin design, 540° panoramic imaging, dash cams, and emergency rescue call functions, it provides all-round protection for passenger safety.
In order to let more users personally feel the charm of the Huan Ta event, 212 announced that the Huan Ta modification kit will soon be available on the official store. The kit covers chassis armor, anti-departure wheels, off-road tires, and recovery equipment, etc., aiming to endow users' beloved cars with stronger off-road strength. From the strict verification on the extreme racing field to the continuous deepening of the user ecosystem, 212 is relying on the deep interaction between events, products, and users to help ordinary people realize their off-road dreams. Regarding future event plans, 212 also stated that the Dakar Rally, Malaysia Sabah International Rainforest Rally, Alxa T3 Challenge, and a series of top domestic and international events such as the 2027 Huan Ta Rally are all in the planning stage. 212 will continue to promote research through racing. At the same time, 212 has officially launched the 2027 Huan Ta User Driver Recruitment Plan and will partner with Han Wei to establish the Champion Off-road Training Academy, providing users with systematic pre-race guidance and racing opportunities.
