On August 25, BYD's full-protection '2026 Silk Road Ten-Thousand Li Journey · Enlightenment Road' concluded officially in Singapore.
33 days, over 10,000 kilometers, driving all the way from Xi'an to the Lion City. The four major Silk Road artifacts—aromatic herbs, porcelain, silk, and tea—also appeared overseas together for the first time.
Why choose Singapore for the finale? Because BYD has won the top sales spot for passenger car brands there for 19 consecutive months, with a market share of 24.7% and an EV share exceeding 40%. One of the markets with the highest car ownership costs in the world, relying not on low prices but on solid products to compete.
And this 10,000-li expedition itself was a rigorous field test. The fleet composed of five networks and four brands—Dynasty, Ocean, Denza, Fang Cheng Bao, Yangwang—underwent multiple tests including highways, mountainous areas, and urban congestion. Flash charging '5 minutes to charge well, 9 minutes to fully charge', Sky's Eye Intelligent Driving stayed online throughout.
Green energy accompanies the long Silk Road journey. A thousand years ago, camel caravans carried silk and porcelain to finish this route; today, wheels carry new energy technology and Chinese smart manufacturing to walk it again.
From the circulation of goods to the co-construction of technology, this is probably the most vivid footnote to the 'Belt and Road'.
