Whether it's fuel cars or electric cars, the price range of 100,000 yuan is the red ocean within the red ocean. When most car manufacturers are using configuration stacking to improve cost-performance ratio, Fengyun T7 brings something different. This is not just a price lower than the pre-sale price, but rather that it uses a different track to open a new chapter.

On August 26, Fengyun T7 was launched in Beijing. Compared to the previous pre-sale starting price of 109,900 yuan, it was directly reduced by 12,000 yuan. Thus, the low-spec version directly entered the range within 100,000 yuan, while the top-spec version was set at 118,900 yuan. This way, the threshold for users to get started became lower.

For electric cars, the biggest cost is the battery. In the past, car manufacturers usually used battery capacity to distinguish high, medium, and low-spec versions. High-spec batteries have larger capacity to satisfy power users. Low-spec batteries have smaller capacity to satisfy city commuting. But the entire Fengyun T7 series has 600 kilometers of range, and they all use the same motor. The reason Fengyun does this is actually to better adapt to the product positioning.

The greater your configuration changes, the more certifications are needed. But if you don't need to make so many plans for core components, you will reduce costs due to scale advantages.

Therefore, this model defined as a global car from the beginning needs to use the simplest logic to meet the standards of laws and regulations in different countries and the differences between various standards. For example, at the safety level, most domestic models only need to meet the C-NCAP crash standard. Fengyun T7 can meet the E-NCAP 2026 5-star standard, ASIL-D, and other standards that models much higher than its selling price usually do. To meet vehicle compliance requirements, 80% high-strength steel, 9 airbags, battery pack 31-layer protection, etc., became the mandatory answers for this model. This is the difference between Fengyun T7 and most domestic models.

Additionally, at the previous Chengdu Auto Show, we also saw Fengyun T7 and its overseas model version—Lepas L6. This model has already been launched in Thailand and South Africa before the domestic version. Next, this model will also be sold in places including the EU, Australia/New Zealand, UK, etc. To achieve the goal, Fengyun T7 has completed various tests such as Middle East high temperature, Arctic extreme cold, and plateau strong UV radiation, and completed tests and optimizations for road conditions in various countries. The meaning of being Born Global was materialized in completely different environments.

Of course, if the price is different, the configuration will definitely be different. Fengyun T7 uses the same underlying foundation in core aspects such as power and safety, just distinguishing prices based on different configurations. So the selling point of Fengyun T7 was never basic home appliance features, but rather the hardcore global quality. In this way, the pricing logic of the 100,000-level pure electric SUV is rewritten at this moment.
