The 100,000 yuan class pure electric SUV market should be one of the most crowded tracks in the industry. This time, another cost-performance powerhouse has arrived — Chery Fuyun T7.
Fuyun T7 is positioned as a compact pure electric SUV. Planned for 2 years and developed forwardly for 3 years, it was developed according to the 2026 version E-NCAP five-star standards, and pre-sale orders locked exceeded 10,000 units in 72 hours.

On August 26, Chery Fuyun T7 went on sale, launching 3 versions with 600km range, priced from 97,900 to 118,900 yuan, with a priority trade-in discount of 3,000 yuan. Compared to the pre-sale price previously announced (109,900 to 129,900 yuan), the entire series has dropped by about 11,000 yuan.
Compared to top-level competitors in the same class such as Changan Deepal S05 (starting from 119,900 yuan), Fuyun T7's entry price is 22,000 yuan lower, with a significant price advantage.
Bringing down 'global standards'
Looking back from this node, the 100,000 yuan class pure electric SUV market is already filled with "players with strengths": companies are racing to push single indicators such as range, intelligent driving, and body dimensions to higher levels. However, the strengths of most models make compromises on core hardware such as batteries and range to widen price differences and attract entry-level users.

But Chery Motor Executive Vice President Li Xueyong repeatedly emphasizes the "no differentiation across the series" of the three-electric system. The three versions are uniformly equipped with 65.05kWh Rhino Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries, CLTC pure electric range is 600 kilometers across the board, without the phenomenon of the entry version "cutting corners". The new car is equipped with a 178kW motor, capable of completing 30%-80% fast charging in 20 minutes, and the official actual range test has broken through 660 kilometers.
Comparing the two, the entry range of competitors in the same class is generally between 400-550km. T7's "range parity" idea, in essence, is pulling the choice from the specification table back to the product itself.

In terms of safety configuration, T7 similarly leaves no version gradient. The vehicle was developed against the 2026 version E-NCAP five-star standard. The rock-solid body uses 80% high-strength steel and 18.84% hot-formed steel. All series come standard with 9 airbags. The battery is equipped with the "6D Lock armor" 31-layer protection structure. IP68 waterproof capability is 96 times the national standard, and anti-compression capability is 2 times the national standard.
Li Xueyong stated at the press conference: "R&D cannot be fast, verification cannot be fast, and global user co-creation cannot be fast." Accompanying this are two weighty bottom-line guarantees: if the power battery experiences thermal runaway due to its own reasons, a same-model new car will be compensated; within one year from the date of purchase, if an accident occurs due to intelligent driving system reasons in parking or intelligent pilot scenarios, compensation of up to 5 million yuan will be made.

It is worth noting that T7's global narrative is not a simple "labeling". The new car was developed synchronously according to overseas regulations such as EU, ASEAN, etc., cumulatively completing over 6 million kilometers of global road testing, covering over 100 extreme road condition environments including the EU, Australia/New Zealand, the Middle East, South Africa, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, etc.
The same-origin model Lepas L6 has already landed in Thailand and South Africa. It will enter Spain and Italy in September, land in the UK in October, and land in Australia and Indonesia in November. Li Xueyong revealed that the car plans to cover over 100 countries and regions by the end of the year.
There is another detail worth noting at the press conference scene. In multiple special scenario test drive videos played, Li Xueyong personally drove T7 to complete Moose, cone slalom, rear offset and other tests. The boss doing dynamic testing personally is not common in new car marketing actions. This is both a communication topic and an "endorsement" for the product.
The new car's actions at the product level are solid, but looking at the entire market landscape, it is still just a starting price.
Rivalling fiercely on the eve of homogenization
Zooming out, Fuyun T7 faces the reality that the 100,000 yuan class pure electric SUV segment is already highly crowded. According to public data, in the past year, the top three models in the compact pure electric SUV sub-market by sales were: Changan Deepal S05, GAC Toyota Breeze 3X, and Geely Galaxy E5, with annual sales volumes all around 100,000 units. At the same time, BYD Yuan PLUS is also an inescapable reference point.
T7 starting from 97,900 yuan, while the price is very competitive, its product power comparison does not form a "crushing" gap.

Each company has a different way of competing: Deepal S05 stacks intelligent driving configurations higher, high-spec models support city NOA, with official 30%-80% fast charging taking only 15 minutes; Breeze 3X defends the basic market relying on joint venture background and balanced performance; Galaxy E5 focuses on space with 4615mm length and 2750mm wheelbase; Yuan PLUS electric motor power reaches 240kW, and secures stable monthly sales by leveraging BYD's channel sinking.
In comparison, Fuyun T7 is not advantageous in dimensions (wheelbase 2700mm, length 4570mm), power is not the strongest either, and advanced intelligent driving (Falcon 500, covering 300+ scenarios parking) only appears in the top spec, and city NOA is not yet equipped. In other words, T7's "strengths" are concentrated in all-series range, all-series safety redundancy and price reduction magnitude, "weaknesses" also objectively exist.

A deeper signal is homogenization. When all players are competing on range, fast charging, large screens, intelligent driving chips and parking scenarios, the gap in parameter sheets is being quickly erased. The center of competition is shifting from stacking materials to standards and commitments. For example, whole vehicle lifetime warranty, intelligent driving bottom-line guarantee, battery bottom-line guarantee, global verification, etc. These words that previously only appeared on mid-to-high-end models are now descending to the 100,000 yuan class.
Final words
Fuyun T7's real chip lies not in a single item parameter, but in its attempt to redefine the trust threshold of the 100,000 yuan class pure electric SUV by superimposing global development standards with bottom-line guarantees. In the controversy of rushed car manufacturing, whether slow work can换来 market response, still depends on two subsequent indicators: one is whether monthly sales can stabilize above 10,000 units, and two is whether the plan to go overseas to 100 countries can be fulfilled as scheduled by the end of the year.
In a market where parameters are converging, only those who can make "standards" perceptible experiences have the possibility of walking out of the Red Ocean.

August 12, Fuyun T7 officially launched pre-sale, the new car offers 3 versions, pre-sale price range is 109,900 yuan to 129,900 yuan, simultaneously enjoy 7 purchasing benefits. This pre-sale launch event took "Take time to build a good car, the wait is finally over" as the theme, conveying the brand's commitment to long-termism and its attitude of refining products to global standards.
Global Tempering, Refusing Rushed Success
Against the backdrop of accelerated iteration in the new energy vehicle industry, Fuyun T7 embarked on a "reverse export" testing path. Relying on Chery's 23 years of global technology accumulation, the new car refines vehicle strength with full-link global rigorous standards, covering R&D, design, manufacturing, and verification processes. The homologous model Lepas L6 was showcased at Milan Design Week and received international recognition, Fuyun T7 integrated over 5,000 domestic and overseas users' full-process co-creation at the design stage.

The vehicle has accumulated over 6 million kilometers of testing, with real-vehicle verification for extreme conditions in multiple global regions such as the Southeast Asian rainy season, Middle Eastern high temperatures, and Indonesian high humidity. The body uses 80% high-strength steel and 18.84% hot-formed steel, equipped with 9 airbags (including 48L dual-chamber remote airbags and rear side airbags); the Rhino battery has IP68 waterproof rating, which is 96 times the national standard, effectively addressing flood risks in rainy seasons.
At the mobility level, Fuyun T7 comes standard with a 65.05kWh large-capacity battery, CLTC range of 600km, and actual test results reaching over 667km, achieving "reverse false labeling". Charging the battery from 30% to 80% takes only 20 minutes. The global integrated thermal management system supports stable operation across an ultra-wide temperature range of -30°C to 55°C, making winter driving in northern regions equally calm.

At the intelligence level, the new car is equipped with an integrated cockpit-driving 8775 chip, 4nm process, 72TOPS computing power, with response time of only 80ms. The 15.6-inch 2.5K HD large screen supports CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar, and CarLink, covering over 99% of mobile phone screen mirroring on the market. Lingxi Smart Cockpit 2.0 includes six realistic companion characters and six scenario modes. The Falcon 500 Driver Assistance System integrates 22 high-precision sensors, supporting over 300 types of full-scenario automatic parking, including dead-end road parking, one-key trace reverse, and multi-floor parking functions.

At the comfort level, vehicle dimensions are 4570×1852×1694mm, wheelbase 2700mm, in-car space utilization rate 84%, flat rear floor, rear seats folded down can expand to a 1955mm flat large bed. 9-layer cloud-feeling seats equipped with ventilation and heating functions, heating to 30°C within 5 minutes in -20°C environment. The chassis is tuned by an international team, the 50.8:49.2 gold axle load ratio improves cornering stability and tracking.

At the peace of mind level, Fuyun T7 launches two underlying guarantees and two lifetime benefits — full compensation for new car in case of power battery thermal runaway, up to 5 million compensation for smart driving assistance accidents, lifetime warranty for the whole vehicle (including three-electrics), lifetime basic maintenance package, covering user full-cycle usage concerns.
