According to foreign media reports on July 5, Selangor, Malaysia successfully introduced a large-scale tire project from China.

The project is invested by Wanli Tire, setting up "Wanli Tire (Malaysia) Co., Ltd." as the implementing entity to build its second overseas factory.

Total investment in the new factory is approximately 1.37 billion Malaysian Ringgit (equivalent to 2.273 billion yuan), with a planned annual production capacity of 6.2 million tires, including 5 million semi-steel radial tires and 1.2 million full-steel radial tires.

The project is expected to create 1,350 jobs locally, covering high-skilled positions such as production line operators, engineers, quality control experts, and managers.

The Director General of Malaysia's Investment, Trade and Mobility Department previously personally led a delegation to Guangzhou to conduct a field visit to the Wanli Tire factory and confirmed the company's investment intention.

It is worth noting that Wanli Tire recently revealed the Malaysia factory plan in its prospectus but did not detail the specifics.

On June 23, its IPO application for the main board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange was officially accepted, planning to raise 2 billion yuan, with funds to be invested in five major projects.

Apart from the Malaysia production base, it also includes the new Wanli Cambodia project, the Conghua Base Phase 3 Phase 2 Expansion Project, the R&D center upgrade project, etc.

Wanli Tire is advancing through the "overseas capacity expansion + domestic capital operation" dual-track approach, accelerating its global layout.
