Brand Overview

Sichuan Yema Automobile Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Yema Automobile), the predecessor is the Sichuan Automobile Industry Group born in the late 1980s. Headquartered in Chengdu, Sichuan, registered capital 2.6 billion RMB, it was the only local complete vehicle manufacturing enterprise in Sichuan Province simultaneously possessing production qualifications for traditional fuel vehicles and new energy vehicles. Acquired by Leiding Automobile in 2019 for 1.45 billion RMB, thereby officially entering the new energy passenger car track.

Development History

Obtained new energy passenger car production qualification in 2012, created a peak of annual sales of 40,800 vehicles in 2015. In 2016, sued American Ford for "Yema" trademark infringement and won, receiving 1 million RMB compensation, brand popularity reached its peak. Thereafter, due to insufficient product power and slow technology updates, sales continued to decline. By 2019, liabilities had exceeded 3.8 billion RMB, bankruptcy reorganization was applied for in 2023.

In 2025, Yunying Automobile took over Leiding, and Yema changed owners again. In July of the same year, three companies were established jointly with Baton New Energy Automobile, attempting to gain strength in the special vehicle and heavy vehicle fields.

Brand Matrix / Product Line

Yema NEV once planned three models: EC30, EC60, EC70, all belong to Pure Electric series. EC30 price after subsidy 136,800 RMB, range 355 km; EC70 after subsidy 183,800 RMB, range 255 km. EC60 subsequent price reduced to 109,900 RMB, equipped with BYD 70kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, range about 400 km.

Market Performance

In 2025, Yema's automobile production was only 72 vehicles, sales 116 vehicles. Data from China Passenger Car Association shows, Yema New Energy sales that year were only 341 vehicles, ranking 121st in brand ranking.

Core Technology

New energy vehicle technology mainly relies on external supply. EC60 equipped with BYD 70kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, battery capacity about 51-66kWh, range about 400 km.

Overseas Layout

Currently expanded to special vehicles and heavy trucks, etc. fields. Its controlling shareholder Fullim Group's overseas business mainly covers Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia and other places.

Future Outlook

In July 2025, joint venture established with Baton New Energy, planned to conquer special vehicle and heavy vehicle fields; In August of the same year, jointly established Yunjie Smart Automobile, turned to the ride-hailing battery swap track. The 5-year future plan includes brand new MPV, A0-class new energy vehicle and other new products.
