Sinotruk Homan is a core commercial vehicle brand under China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., with the operating entity being Sinotruk Fujian Haixi Automobile Co., Ltd. The company was established on September 28, 2010, located in the Puling Automotive Industrial Park, Yongan City, Sanming City, Fujian Province, covering an area of 152 acres, with a total investment of 2 billion RMB. The company fully introduced German MAN technology, producing Homan brand light, medium, and heavy-duty full-series commercial vehicles, covering highway cargo, engineering dump, and special purpose vehicles. It has formed an annual production capacity of 50,000 light trucks and 50,000 medium and heavy trucks. Its products are exported to over 120 countries and regions worldwide, making it an important medium and light truck export production and sales base of the Sinotruk Group. The brand logo uses a horizontal oval frame, internally constructed with seagull styling and "V"-shaped elements, giving it a distinctive design.
In 2010, Sinotruk Group reorganized the Fujian Automobile Factory, founded in 1958, and established Haixi Company in Yongan. In 2011, the first "Fuluo" heavy truck rolled off the line—this was China's first own brand named Haixi. In 2012, the Phase I project was fully completed and put into production. In 2014, the self-developed "Homan" series was officially launched and became the flagship brand. In 2018, new energy vehicle production qualifications were obtained. In 2020, new energy light truck cargo production exceeded 1,000 units. In 2024, plug-in hybrid new energy models were launched and a 5G smart factory was built. In 2019, the company undertook chassis manufacturing for Fujian's colorful float for the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, completing a comprehensive upgrade from parts assembly to full vehicle integration capabilities.
The Homan brand spreads its product lines based on the H3 (light) and H5 (medium and heavy) two core platforms, having iterated to build a complete system covering cargo, engineering, special purpose vehicles, and new energy.
H3 Platform (Light Series): Focused on light trucks and engineering vehicles, with cab width options ranging from 1760 to 2080 mm. Engines cover brands such as Yunnei and Yuchai, with horsepower ranging from 90 to 160 hp. Transmissions come from suppliers such as WLY, Fast, and Howo.
H5 Platform (Medium and Heavy Series): Equipped with Sinotruk MAN MC05 and MC07 engines or Yuchai China III engines. The main model, the Homan H5, is equipped with a Weichai 4.6L 220 horsepower engine, a Fast 8-speed gearbox, and a Qute rear axle, matched with a Haibeite front-mounted inverted lift system, offering stable and reliable performance under heavy load conditions.
In the new energy field, Homan has formed a parallel pattern of pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and battery swap models, launching products such as the Star Blue MAX long-range light truck, EM3 and EM1 pure electric dump trucks, and 8x4 battery swap dump trucks, meeting diverse scenarios such as urban logistics, engineering dump, and municipal sanitation. In 2025, new M5 and M7 fuel medium and heavy truck models were added, with cabin interior, smart configuration, and driving comfort achieving comprehensive upgrades.
In 2025, Homan firmly held top positions in the industry across multiple segments. In the light 4x2 flatbed transport market, its share was 33.7%, ranking first in the industry for six consecutive years. In the light 6x4 concrete mixer transport market, its share was 35.7%, ranking first for five consecutive years. In the light 4x2 concrete pump market, its share was as high as 60.9%, firmly in first place. New energy light truck 4x2 cargo sales increased by 77.4% year-on-year, and the dump truck category increased by 79.0% year-on-year, significantly outperforming the industry average. In the first quarter of 2025, full vehicle production exceeded 7,000 units, and terminal sales exceeded 7,100 vehicles. In 2026, Homan continues to focus on its "long range, strong power, high load" advantages, with an annual goal to continuously expand its market share in new energy and special purpose vehicles.
Homan's technological advantages are rooted in the dual support of German MAN technology and Sinotruk's national-level R&D platform. In terms of powertrain, it shares MC05, MC07, and MC07H series MAN engines, matched with Sinotruk HW series transmissions and Qute axles, forming an integrated powertrain and chassis synergy system, with comprehensive fuel consumption and emission control leading the industry. In terms of lightweight design, the Homan H5 uses a 260/6+5 high-strength steel frame, a 300L aluminum alloy fuel tank, and a high-strength subframe combination, with a vehicle curb weight of only 12 tons, greatly improving compliant loading capacity. In its new energy three-electric system, it uses CATL batteries as the core, matched with Ispring or Weichai electronic control, Fast or Tengge powertrains, and Fangsheng e-axles, forming a modular self-developed full-stack solution. The Homan EM3 pure electric dump truck is equipped with a 4-speed AMT transmission and a CATL AD02 new 98–200 kWh full-coverage safety battery with an independent water cooling and water heating system. The battery swap dump truck uses a fully automatic swap station that averages 5 minutes to complete a battery swap, with recharging efficiency leading the industry.
Homan relies on Sinotruk Group's overseas sales channels, focusing on the Southeast Asian core growth region. Its export business covers over 120 countries and regions worldwide. In 2023, exports exceeded 10,000 units, accounting for more than 8% of total group exports, with a compound annual growth rate remaining above 15%. The international marketing team has formulated differentiated product plans for the Southeast Asian, African, and Central Asian markets based on a "One Country, One Policy" principle, and continues to broaden its overseas sales network by leveraging the Belt and Road initiative. In early 2025, the overseas order business management position was further expanded, continuously supplementing talent reserves for global development.
Homan takes "diversified energy technology routes" as its core development path, advancing simultaneously in traditional fuel and new energy lines. In terms of products, it is comprehensively accelerating market share growth for new energy models such as the EM3 pure electric dump truck, while simultaneously promoting fuel vehicle iterations that comply with China VI standards, covering all scenarios with a diversified matrix. In terms of technology, it relies on independent R&D and strategic cooperation on key components to continuously break through in charging and battery swap efficiency as well as hydrogen fuel cell reserve systems. At the market level, it continues to deepen domestic niche tracks while actively expanding emerging markets such as Central Asia, gradually building Homan into a backbone force in the global commercial vehicle market, steadily moving toward its development goal of becoming a "world-class full-series commercial vehicle" brand.
