SIN CARS is a supercar and electric vehicle manufacturer originating from Bulgaria. Founded in 2011 by Bulgarian engineer, go-kart, and racing driver Rosen Daskalov, the company is headquartered in Ruse, Bulgaria. The brand focuses on creating high-performance racing and road sports cars centered around the driving experience, later expanding into the urban light electric commercial vehicle sector, with products exported to multiple continents. SIN CARS' vision is to create "the ultimate driving machine," dedicated to integrating racing technology with innovative engineering.
The brand logo features a specially designed "S" shape, with the uppercase letters "SIN" embedded in the flat frame of the middle section, representing the brand's name. SIN CARS has been referred to by the media as the first local supercar brand in Bulgaria, occupying a unique position in the country's automotive industry.
Rosen Daskalov was born in Bulgaria in 1972. With a family background in racing—his father and grandfather were both racing and motorcycle drivers—he represented his country in go-kart competitions, winning championships across various locations in the Soviet Union. After completing his studies in mechanical engineering, he started a business specializing in parts and body repair. In 2011, he founded SIN CARS in the UK, initially positioning it as a creator of custom racing cars for private clients, typically delivered as rolling chassis.
In 2012, the brand established "Sin Cars International" Limited and completed the development of the R1, the first Bulgarian sports racing prototype. The brand then entered a phase of rapid testing and race validation, with the R1 participating in multiple events in the European GT Cup series to verify its performance. However, disagreements within the UK partnership forced Daskalov to move the business back to Bulgaria. He rebuilt the company in Ruse and simultaneously established a manufacturing operation in Germany.
In 2013, the first SIN R1 prototype appeared at the UK Autosport International exhibition, making its dynamic debut as a track version that same year. In 2014, the road version prototype was dynamically demonstrated for the first time at the UK Goodwood Festival of Speed. In 2015, the SIN R1 road version went into mass production and was officially launched globally at the Frankfurt Motor Show. The brand also collaborated with UK-based ProFormance Metals to develop lightweight chassis, exporting products to the US, South America, Australia, and other regions.
In 2016, the brand officially obtained European vehicle manufacturing certification (European approval for a car manufacturer) and began participating in the European GT4 series to further verify and promote its capabilities. In 2018, the brand launched the more affordable SIN S1 at the Geneva Motor Show, offering conventional power, plug-in hybrid, and all-electric versions. That same year, the brand established a new direction for electrification by launching the "L CITY" multi-purpose electric platform project, aimed at producing light electric commercial vehicles and electric trucks. Starting in 2022, the L CITY project successively received orders from the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Greece, and other countries. In 2023, the Ruse R&D center completed a new production line. In 2024, the brand completed the delivery of multiple batches of L CITY models. In January 2026, the brand announced a cooperation agreement with Egypt for the localized production of electric vehicles.
SIN CARS' product line covers three major directions: racing cars, high-performance road sports cars, and light electric commercial vehicles.

L CITY series covers Pickup, Courier (3.5-ton class), refrigerated transport vehicles, buses and passenger versions and other modification schemes. L CITY basic starting price is approx €10,000. The brand patent number Reg. No 67420 B1 "Urban Environment Multi-function Electric Vehicle Multi-function Platform" has been granted patent by the Bulgarian Patent Office.
SIN CARS is a typical niche custom manufacturer, limited public data but significant growth rate. In the racing and sports car field, the company has cumulatively produced approx 20-30 R1 models, annual production of custom racing cars approx 50 units, sales cover US, South America and Australia. The brand R1 GT4 racing car once surpassed two Porsches in the Australian Victorian Interstate race, called "Mechanical Miracle" by on-site commentators. Road version sports cars are mainly sold through custom models in European markets such as France.
In the electric commercial vehicle field, L CITY series initial delivery scale is small but pace is steady: 2 units delivered in Netherlands in 2022; in 2023 received and delivered orders in Germany, UK and other countries; also signed over 400 units annual intention order with Netherlands; subsequently obtained orders from Greek, Cyprus and other markets. At the same time, the brand plans to increase annual production capacity to 20,000 units through the Romania Giurgiu factory construction plan.
Lightweight Engineering: SIN R1 adopts FIA-certified tubular spaceframe combined with carbon fiber composite body coverings, road version dry weight only 1,100 kg. L CITY series Pickup version cargo box adopts all-aluminum material, weight less than 200 kg.
High Performance Chassis and Suspension: Iconic mid-engine layout and pushrod double wishbone suspension system ensures racing-level chassis stability. Road version equipped with Ohlins suspension, AP Racing six-piston (front) and four-piston (rear) calipers and ABS and traction control system. S1 plug-in hybrid version consists of 2.0T engine and electric motor, pure electric range approx 60 km.
PV Auxiliary Charging Technology: L CITY equipped with on-board PV system, utilizing roof PV panels to recover electrical energy, sunny weather daily can recover approx 15% to 20% of battery capacity, combined range can reach 250 to 300 km, especially suitable for city delivery and daytime logistics scenarios.
SIN CARS has been facing the international market since its inception. In the early 2010s, completed first batch of sports car exports to non-European markets such as Australia, US, South America. Starting from 2018, the brand relied on L CITY electric platform to accelerate European business expansion: in 2021 established subsidiary L CITY Automotive GmbH in Munich, Germany responsible for assembly and market development. In 2022, the brand reached supply agreement with Netherlands Johan Kraan Group, annual target delivery 100 units. In the same year, signed preliminary import and distribution agreement with Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg (Benelux), and appointed RAM Europe as representative in Greece, covering Greece and Cyprus markets.
In regionalized capacity layout, the brand plans to cross the border between Bulgaria and Romania—build a new factory in Romania Giurgiu, produce L CITY series to radiate European market. In January 2026, the brand formally negotiated localized manufacturing cooperation with Egypt government, plans to produce passenger cars, refrigerated vehicles and public transport vehicles in Egypt, utilizing local existing industrial infrastructure and supply chain to serve domestic and export needs, at the same time establish R&D technology center in Egypt to train local engineers.
SIN CARS has accelerated its transformation from an early sports car customizer into a scaled electric vehicle manufacturer, establishing a dual-track model featuring both sports cars and electric commercial vehicles. Regarding future plans, the brand set a target to increase L CITY production capacity to 20,000 units per year by 2026 and began construction of its factory in Giurgiu, Romania, in 2026. Its long-term goal for 2030 is to achieve a daily production rate of 100 units (single shift), amounting to approximately 100,000 units annually. The model matrix planning will include smaller light electric trucks (vehicle weight ≤ 2,000 kg), enclosed passenger versions, open passenger versions, and other modifications to cover last-mile logistics and urban public transport needs. In terms of capital raising, the brand planned to seek listing on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange at the end of 2024 to raise approximately €100 million, supporting the construction of the Romania factory and the mass production of the L CITY.
Regarding the Middle East and African markets, cooperation with Egypt will serve as a key springboard for expanding into broader international business. Meanwhile, the high performance and race-validated heritage of the R1 series sports cars will continue to provide technical endorsement and brand premium. Although facing the capacity bottlenecks typical of niche manufacturers, SIN CARS is advancing with a gradual but firm pace toward its goal of becoming a scaled participant in the European small electric commercial vehicle market.
