Model Overview

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the first ultra-luxury full-size SUV from the Rolls-Royce marque and the world's very first "super-luxury SUV". Making its global debut in 2018, the vehicle was named after the Cullinan Diamond—the largest gem-quality rough diamond ever found—symbolising an identical aura of rarity, timelessness, and prestige. The arrival of the Cullinan marked Rolls-Royce's official foray into the luxury SUV arena, with its global unveiling hosted in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, USA. In 2024, Rolls-Royce introduced its mid-cycle facelift: the Cullinan Series II. As of June 2026, the 2026 Cullinan Series II available in the domestic market is offered in two trims: the Standard version and the performance-focused Black Badge edition. Official China-spec retail pricing ranges from RM6,910,000 to RM7,450,000, while parallel-imported units via Tianjin Port start from around RM6,250,000 to RM7,100,000 net. Complete on-the-road (OTR) prices hover between RM8,800,000 and RM12,000,000, with highly bespoke, high-spec builds surpassing RM15,000,000. For comparison, the starting price in the US market sits at approximately USD 450,000.
Design Language
The exterior styling of the Cullinan Series II centres on the theme of "verticality", employing prominent vertical character lines that echo the towering skyscrapers of modern metropolises. Up front, it retains Rolls-Royce's iconic Pantheon grille, flanked by vertical waterfall-style polished chrome vanes. The Series II introduces an illuminated grille, granting the front fascia an imposing, luminous presence at night. The redesigned, slimmer headlight assemblies incorporate minimalist "L"-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). The front bumper sports a new three-section air intake in a "V"-shaped contour inspired by contemporary sports yachts. Above it all, the iconic retractable Spirit of Ecstasy figurine continues to grace the bonnet.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 5,341 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,837 mm in height, riding on a 3,295 mm wheelbase. Its side profile preserves an authoritative, stately stance alongside signature rear-hinged coach doors. The Series II also marks the first appearance of 23-inch 7-spoke polished forged alloy wheels. At the rear, clean rectangular tail light clusters are paired with a dual-exhaust setup, while the split-folding two-piece tailgate can be optionally fitted with the bespoke "Viewing Suite". The Black Badge variant adds extensive blacked-out exterior trim, distinct 23-inch petal-style alloy wheels, and contrasting red brake callipers.
Inside, the Series II adopts the advanced SPIRIT "luxury digital architecture" shared with the all-electric Spectre. A newly introduced illuminated fascia on the passenger side showcases a laser-etched urban skyline motif inspired by metropolitan skyscrapers. Directly beneath the analogue clock, the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine is housed within a miniature glazed vitrine. The seats and door cards boast newly developed stitching patterns alongside intricate abstract perforations, each individual hole meticulously inspected by master artisans. Furthermore, every wooden veneer panel across each Cullinan features an entirely unique grain pattern—ensuring that each car represents a single, individual tree.
Powertrain & Performance
Under the bonnet, the Cullinan is powered by Rolls-Royce's venerable 6.75-litre (6.7T) twin-turbocharged V12 powerplant. In the Standard trim, it produces a maximum output of 420 kW (571 PS / 563 hp) and 850 Nm of peak torque. The Black Badge version raises output to 600 hp and 900 Nm of torque. Power is channelled through a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. The 0-100 km/h sprint is completed in 5.2 seconds on the Standard model and 5.1 seconds on the Black Badge. Top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h. Combined fuel consumption on the WLTP cycle ranges between 16.3 and 16.9 L/100 km, with combined CO2 emissions rated at 371 to 385 g/km. Overseas specifications indicate a fuel tank capacity of approximately 90 litres.
Chassis & Handling
Underpinning the vehicle is Rolls-Royce's bespoke architecture, making the Cullinan the brand's first-ever permanent all-wheel-drive (AWD) model. The chassis features self-levelling adaptive air suspension that delivers the marque's signature "Magic Carpet Ride". Stopping power comes from 395 mm front ventilated discs and 398 mm rear discs. Optimised approach and departure angles ensure genuine all-terrain capability over unpaved ground. The drivetrain is configured with a front-mounted engine and full-time AWD, paired with speed-sensitive electric power steering.
Cabin & Features
The Cullinan's ultra-luxurious cabin is available in either a 5-seater lounge configuration or an ultra-exclusive 4-seater individual layout. The central infotainment display measures 10.25 inches and supports intelligent voice commands. The Series II significantly upgrades connectivity, enabling rear-seat entertainment displays to stream independently from up to two personal devices with universal Bluetooth headphone pairing. Individual rear executive seats provide multi-way power adjustment, ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The iconic "Shooting Star Starlight Headliner" faithfully reproduces the celestial ambience synonymous with Rolls-Royce. Additional cabin appointments include power-deployable picnic tables, a rear theatre entertainment suite, a bespoke Rolls-Royce audio system, and an integrated champagne cooler/drinks cabinet. The vehicle also supports 5G connectivity and over-the-air connected services. Boot capacity stands at approximately 560 litres in its standard layout, expanding significantly when the rear seats are folded flat.
Safety & Driver Assistance
Comprehensive safety equipment includes a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control (TCS), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and ABS. The active safety suite encompasses Blind Spot Assist/Lane Change Assist, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB). For automated driving, the vehicle offers optional Level 2 driver assistance capabilities. Cruising aids include conventional Cruise Control, Full-Speed Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), a 360-degree panoramic surround-view camera system, and dedicated off-road driving modes. An integrated Night Vision system is also fitted to heighten safety during night-time driving.
Market Performance & Assessment
The Cullinan remains one of the most commercially successful nameplates in Rolls-Royce history. In 2025, global deliveries of the Cullinan reached 3,291 units, marking a 27.1% year-on-year increase and claiming a dominant 58% share of Rolls-Royce's total global volume, solidifying its rank as the brand's best-selling model. It was followed by the Spectre (1,002 units), Ghost (993 units), and Phantom (376 units).
Conversely, the Chinese market has witnessed a continuing contraction in Cullinan sales. Annual deliveries stood at over 700 units in 2021, sliding to 506 units in 2024, and recording only 396 units in the first 11 months of 2025, with full-year totals projected below 440 units. This reflects an almost 50% drop across four years. Rolls-Royce's total brand volume in China similarly fell from a 2021 peak of roughly 1,653 units to just 602 units in the first 11 months of 2025. Nonetheless, within the upper echelons of the ultra-luxury SUV segment, the Cullinan retains its benchmark status owing to its unrivalled brand equity and unparalleled Bespoke commissioning capability.
