Naran

2026-06-02 12:00:04

Naran Automotive is a supercar manufacturer originating from the United Kingdom, founded by entrepreneur Ameerh Naran in 2017, with headquarters in the UK. The founder is a fourth-generation Indian Zimbabwean. Influenced by his father, who loved driving in his early years, he later dedicated himself to single-seater racing sports. He founded Vimana Private Jets, a global leader in private aviation, in 2016, and the following year pushed for the creation of Naran Automotive. The brand's core proposition is to create a hypercar blending "power, luxury, and customization." Its ultimate goal is to provide passengers with an unparalleled non-electric performance shared experience. It adheres to the pure fuel power route, with amazing performance, top-tier luxury craftsmanship, and a high degree of personalization as its three core pillars.

Development History

The brand was registered in the United Kingdom in 2017 and officially released its first namesake supercar in December 2020. The original plan was to limit production to 49 units, to be released into the market in early 2022. However, the original mass production plan was delayed multiple times for various reasons. During this period, Naran continued to refine engineering details and expand its executive team. In June 2024, Naran officially reopened its order channel, and in August of the same year, revealed the appearance of the latest mass-production model just before the Pebble Beach auto show. In November 2025, as the four-seater hypercar with over 1,000 horsepower entered the accelerated development phase, the company announced the first delivery batch for the new car, with delivery scheduled for 2027. From the founder's entrepreneurial genes, to the multiple delays in the development process, to the eventual setting of the delivery window, the Naran supercar story follows a distinctive low-volume luxury sports car delivery path.

Product Portfolio

Naran's brand lineup is extremely streamlined, featuring only the first namesake supercar. The car's name is taken from the brand name "Naran," and the naming approach also reserves space for owner customization later.

This car is positioned as the world's fastest non-electric four-seater model, adopting a front-mid-engine layout and a 2+2 seat configuration, which stands out uniquely among the hypercar camp, which is predominantly mid-engine two-seaters. It is globally limited to 39 units, reduced from the initially announced 49 units to a more exclusive final number. Handmade, each car is named by its owner, and owners can directly participate in all aspects of deep customization. The body uses a carbon fiber composite material containing natural flax, weighing under 1,500 kg, allowing it to maintain extreme lightweight characteristics in comparison with top hypercars such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie and McLaren Speedtail.

Market Performance

Naran Automotive plays the role of a player in the "limited custom plus handmade" niche track in the market, not pursuing scaled sales volume. The first supercar is globally limited to only 39 units, with a starting price of 2 million euros per unit (excluding local taxes and options), and the deposit is as high as 350,000 euros (approximately 400,000 USD). After reopening its order channel in 2024, major overseas auto media reports have all indicated that demand for this supercar continues to heat up. As of early 2026, Naran has assembled an executive team drawing from traditional companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, CALLUM Designs, Rolls-Royce, McLaren Automotive, and Aston Martin (notably, the head of engineering R&D who deeply participated in engineering masterpieces such as the McLaren GT, Artura, and Aston Martin DBX). The start of first deliveries in 2027 will be the first key milestone for measuring market acceptance.

Core Technology

Naran Automotive firmly refuses to adopt electric motor assistance and has chosen the high-performance fuel route. Its core technology is custom-made by Racing Dynamics Germany: deeply modified based on the BMW M8 series 4.4-liter V8 engine, raising displacement to 5.0 liters, with significant upgrades to stroke, compression ratio, and a new twin-turbocharging system, thus unleashing a performance level of over 1,000 horsepower. The mass-production version delivers a net output of 1,048 horsepower (approximately 781 kW), with peak torque of 1,036 N·m, and comes standard with all-wheel drive at delivery (with an optional pure rear-wheel drive mode). The transmission is equipped with a custom gearbox, adapted to a hydraulic steering system and double wishbone suspension, fitted with 22-inch carbon fiber wheels and carbon ceramic brake discs, and the suspension system uses Öhlins four-way adjustable shock absorbers.

In terms of aerodynamics, an optional GT3 racing-grade detachable large rear wing (Celare Pack track kit, which technicians can assist in installing or removing within 20 minutes) allows the car to generate up to 1,377 kg of downforce. In terms of safety and testing, the brand at least applies user expectations to maintain its own standards; specific actual test data will only be known after the first batch of production cars begin delivery.

Global Presence

Naran Automotive adopts a "UK design, multi-country engineering integration, and global sales" lightweight manufacturing model globally. The company uses its UK headquarters as the brand and design center. The car's design was entrusted to famous designer Jowyn Wong, completed in the UK. The body uses carbon fiber and flax composite technology produced at a composite material supplier. Powertrain engineering is handled in Germany by Racing Dynamics for customized modification. Engineering development and technology testing outside the three-electric systems are completed jointly with partners in the US, Germany, and the UK. In terms of sales, the target is global high-net-worth groups, including the Chinese market. After restarting orders in 2024, orders have been opened to core high-end auto markets on various continents. Marketing and exhibition activities are mainly concentrated in wealth circle gathering spots such as Switzerland, Pebble Beach, and Dubai.

Future Outlook

Naran Automotive defines 2027 as the first year of mass production in the company's history. As of early 2026, the brand is in the final development stage, sprinting toward the first batch of deliveries. The assembly of the senior executive team and the key technical design freeze have been completed. Production and delivery plans for the 39 limited supercars are essentially locked in. The brand's vision is to become a collector of the world's most top-tier, extremely limited scale "car art." Future prospects will depend on the actual quality of the first batch of production cars and owner reputation. If 2027 deliveries go smoothly, Naran's position in the niche customization, pure fuel adherence, and GT experience supercar segment among the ultra-wealthy will be further solidified.
