Lynk & Co 07 EM-P

2026-09-29 18:00:00

The Lynk & Co 07 EM-P is a D-segment plug-in hybrid sedan introduced by Lynk & Co in 2024, which received a mid-lifecycle facelift in September 2025. The headline update for this facelift is that LiDAR comes fitted as standard across the entire range, bringing advanced ADAS tech down to the RM150,000 price point and marking a strategic shift in Lynk & Co's new energy portfolio from "performance-first" to "intelligence-enhanced".

Model Overview

Positioned as a D-segment PHEV sedan under Lynk & Co (a joint venture between Geely and Volvo). Key selling points include: standard LiDAR across all variants paired with the NVIDIA Thor chip, Flyme Auto 2 intelligent cockpit, and a 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain delivering 126 km of pure electric range. The 2026 line-up comprises 3 variants with an official guide price of RM155,800–RM175,800, alongside a limited-time launch price of RM139,800–RM159,800.

Design Language

Continuing the brand's "The Next Day" urban aesthetic of opposites, the front bumper has been widened by 15 mm with added air ducts, lowering the drag coefficient to 0.22 Cd. A roof-mounted watchtower-style LiDAR pod and blue ADAS indicator lamps are newly added. Dimensions measure 4,835 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,480 mm tall, with a 2,843 mm wheelbase. Two new exterior colours have been introduced: Glaze Purple (a gradient shifting from soft purple to crystal diamond silver) and Aurora Silver.

Inside, the cabin gains new Shadow Red and Sunlight Beige colourways, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch central touchscreen (2.5K resolution, swivels ±15°). Upgrades include a 1.9 m² panoramic glass roof and a 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system (1,600W). Infotainment is driven by the LYNK Flyme Auto 2 system powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, supporting Apple CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar, and Flyme Link.

Powertrain and Range

Under the bonnet is a 1.5T four-cylinder engine (120 kW / 163 PS) coupled with a P3 electric motor (180 kW) and a 3-speed DHT gearbox, delivering a total system output of 300 kW (408 PS) and 615 Nm of torque, completing the 0-100 km/h sprint in 6.5 seconds. An 18.4 kWh CATL-sourced lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery comes standard across the range, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 126 km, a total combined range of 1,450 km, and a WLTC depleted-battery fuel consumption of 3.72 L/100 km. DC fast charging is supported (30% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes).

Chassis and Handling

Riding on front MacPherson struts and a rear multi-link independent suspension, all variants come standard with hydraulic variable damping shock absorbers and CST (Comfort Stop Technology) brake control, balancing handling agility with ride comfort. Minimum turning radius is rated at 5.7 m.

Intelligent Driving (Core Competitiveness)

RoboSense LiDAR comes fitted as standard across the range, supported by an array of 27 perception sensors. The ADAS suite is split into two tiers:

Variant Chip Computing Power ADAS Solution Supported Features
Max/Ultra NVIDIA Orin-Y 254 TOPS Qianli Haohan H5 Highway/Urban NOA, automated parking
Ultra H7 NVIDIA Thor-U 700 TOPS Qianli Haohan H7 Parking-spot-to-parking-spot pilot, G-AES obstacle avoidance, 130 km/h AEB

A full-fledged "parking-spot-to-parking-spot" autonomous navigation function will be rolled out via over-the-air (OTA) updates in the future.

Market Performance

Firm bookings exceeded 6,000 units in the first week post-launch, with the 2026 model targeting a sustained monthly volume of 6,000 units (matching the previous peak achieved by the 2024 model). On user feedback portal CheZhiWang, the rating stands at 4.44 out of 5 stars, with praise heavily directed at chassis refinement, hybrid powertrain smoothness, and Flyme Auto responsiveness. Customer complaints mainly concern unfulfilled complimentary service packages by certain 4S dealerships and underutilised chip computing power on the 2024 model.

Summary

By introducing standard LiDAR across the entire line-up, the refreshed Lynk & Co 07 EM-P secures a crucial competitive edge, with its RM139,800 starting price making it a formidable contender in its class. It is an ideal fit for buyers prioritising advanced ADAS tech, chassis refinement, and distinctive styling. The mid-spec Ultra variant is the recommended pick (costing RM10,000 more than the Max, while adding an AR-HUD, Nappa leather upholstery, and massage seats).
