Brand Overview

Hualing Automobile is a heavy-duty truck brand under Anhui Hualing Automobile Co., Ltd., established in May 2003 and headquartered at the Ma'anshan Economic and Technological Development Zone in Anhui Province. It is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hanma Technology Group Co., Ltd. The company's main business focuses on the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of heavy-duty trucks, core components, and new energy commercial vehicles. It has an annual production capacity of 100,000 heavy-duty trucks. Its products cover the Hualing Heavy Trucks, Hualing Star, and Xingkaima series. The enterprise possesses a national enterprise technology center and a postdoctoral research workstation, and has established industry-academia-research cooperation with universities such as Tsinghua University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. As of 2024, it holds 1,045 patents, and its products are exported to 65 countries and regions worldwide.

The brand logo consists of an abstract "horse head" and an open oval. The oval is designed horizontally, with the line on the right side of the gap extending inward to form a horse head shape, symbolizing that Chinese automobile manufacturing enterprises are like galloping horses: down-to-earth, positive, and upward.

Development History

The origins of Hualing Automobile can be traced back to the Ma'anshan Building Materials Machinery Factory established in 1970. In 2003, Anhui Hualing Automobile Co., Ltd. was established. In the same year, it signed a 10-year technology licensing agreement with Mitsubishi FUSO Trucks & Buses Co., Ltd. of Japan, beginning the R&D and production of Hualing heavy-duty trucks. In 2004, the first heavy-duty truck chassis rolled off the line and was released to the market; in 2005, products began to be exported overseas. In 2006, Hualing became the first heavy-duty truck company in China to participate in the German Hanover Commercial Vehicle Exhibition. In 2010, its subsidiary Anhui Hualing Automobile Co., Ltd. completed asset restructuring with Xingma Automobile.

In 2020, Geely Commercial Vehicle Group acquired 15.24% equity for 435 million RMB, becoming the controlling shareholder, and the listed company was renamed Hanma Technology Group Co., Ltd. In 2022, Hanma Technology announced plans to completely stop production of traditional fuel vehicles by the end of 2025. In 2025, under the comprehensive empowerment of Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group, Hanma Technology established a dual-track technology development route of "Alcohol-Hydrogen plus Electric." In 2025, Hualing Automobile achieved the first year of fully ceasing sales of fuel vehicles, and starting in 2026, it will focus comprehensively on its new energy business.

Product Portfolio

Hualing Automobile has built a product matrix driven by traditional fuel and the dual technology routes of Alcohol-Hydrogen plus Electric. Traditional fuel vehicle models mainly include the Hualing Heavy Trucks (Classic Edition), Hualing Star (Lightweight Series), Hualing Xingkaima (High-end Series), as well as the Hanma H7 and Hanma H9 Flagship Edition. New energy vehicle models have currently formed complete product coverage, including the Xinghan H, Xinghan G, Farizon X7, and Hualing G9 Range-Extending Mixer Truck. Among these, the world's first battery-swap heavy-duty truck chassis has undergone four years of rigorous verification in more than 20 scenarios and is currently the most mature and reliable "under-mounted battery plus electric drive axle" product. The Xingma Special Line brand has long dominated the domestic engineering special vehicle market.

Market Performance

Hualing Automobile is currently experiencing a period of high-speed growth. In 2025, the company's total operating revenue reached 6.55 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 55.20%, with net profit attributable to the parent company of 48 million RMB. Sales of medium and heavy trucks reached 13,975 units, a year-on-year increase of 58.11%; among them, sales of new energy heavy-duty trucks reached 11,819 units, a significant year-on-year increase of 161.65%. Operating revenue for October 2025 exceeded 600 million RMB, creating the best single-month performance in nearly five years. Sales and production of new energy medium and heavy trucks from January to October increased by 129.98% and 131.27% year-on-year respectively, significantly leading the heavy-duty truck market.

In the first quarter of 2026, the company's cumulative truck sales reached 4,226 units, a year-on-year increase of 47.35%; new energy medium and heavy trucks reached 3,694 units, a year-on-year increase of 104.65%; operating revenue was 2.01 billion RMB, a year-on-year increase of 52.17%, and net profit attributable to the parent company increased by 130.84% year-on-year. The company has launched a sprint toward a 30,000-unit heavy-duty truck sales target for 2026 and has proposed a market share breakthrough of 10%.

Core Technology

Hualing Automobile has established a technology system with three lines developing simultaneously: Alcohol-Hydrogen Electric (Methanol), Pure Electric, and Hydrogen Fuel. Its Alcohol-Hydrogen Electric commercial vehicles can achieve a range of approximately 1,500 kilometers with just 10 minutes of methanol refueling. In the pure electric field, Hualing independently developed core technologies such as integrated electric drive axles, efficient thermal management systems, and VCU vehicle control systems. The X7 series pure electric heavy trucks equipped with high-torque electric drive axles have reduced energy consumption by approximately 20% compared to central drive systems, offering greater range. In the intelligent field, Alcohol-Hydrogen Electric mining trucks are equipped with multi-sensor fusion perception technology, achieving all-weather unmanned operation in mining areas.

In terms of R&D, Hualing Automobile applied for and obtained a major national patent, "A bottom-mounted power battery frame and new energy heavy truck," in 2025, improving vehicle stability and safety. The company's Alcohol-Hydrogen Electric powertrain production line has an annual capacity of 100,000 units and has achieved large-scale operation in multiple scenarios across 28 provinces and regions in China.

Global Presence

Hualing Automobile considers the overseas market an important growth pole. Its products have been exported to more than 60 countries and regions, including Eastern Europe, North Africa, Southeast Asia, South America, and the Middle East. In 2025, Hualing Automobile actively implemented the "Alcohol-Hydrogen Electric Dual Track" overseas strategy, providing customized transportation solutions for overseas market demands. The Hualing G9 Range-Extending Mixer Truck was unveiled at the Malaysia Auto Show, becoming the first range-extending heavy truck in Southeast Asia. The company's cumulative exports from January to October 2025 increased by 68.56% year-on-year. While traditional export markets such as Algeria, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, and the UAE continue to grow, new markets such as Russia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Trinidad and Tobago are also showing very rapid growth.

Future Outlook

On December 31, 2025, Hualing Automobile completed its strategic decision to completely cease the production and sales of traditional fuel vehicles within China, turning comprehensively to its new energy business. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Hualing Automobile will firmly promote the dual technology path of "Alcohol-Hydrogen plus Electric." Relying on the deep empowerment of the Geely Farizon Commercial Vehicle Group, Hualing Automobile is working hard to become the "only manufacturing base globally that achieves mass production of Alcohol-Hydrogen Power in all scenarios." Across the entire value chain, Hualing Automobile will take new energy as the primary engine for growth, accelerate the deployment of intelligent and unmanned products, continuously consolidate its domestic advantages in new energy medium and heavy trucks while accelerating the expansion of overseas green energy market growth points, and make full efforts to advance toward becoming a leading global new energy commercial vehicle enterprise.
