This refers to a feature that allows the vertical beam angle of a vehicle's headlamps to be adjusted, ensuring optimal illumination range and visibility based on external driving conditions. It is available in manual and automatic variants. Manual adjustment can be carried out in two ways: either by opening the bonnet to turn the adjustment screws on top of the headlamp unit—a tedious process prone to misaligned beams that requires technical expertise; or via the levelling thumbwheel located to the left of the driver's seat, which is convenient, user-friendly, and less error-prone, though this feature is not standard equipment across all vehicles.
