The "China International Auto Refit Expo" (CIARE) is an official, national-level trade exhibition in China's automotive modification industry. Unlike lifestyle and consumer-focused events such as the GT Show or CAS, CIARE places a stronger emphasis on regulatory policies, business matchmaking, and industry standardisation.
CIARE is jointly organised by Genertec International Exhibition Co., Ltd., the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), and the US Speed Group, officially endorsed as a national-level exhibition by China's Ministry of Commerce. Themed "Ignite Passion · Modify the Future", the 2026 edition focuses on regulatory rollout and industrial collaboration across the automotive modification sector. Crucially, 2026 marks the first time China has integrated automotive modification into its national service consumption strategy alongside tiered, category-based regulatory frameworks—making CIARE a direct response to this policy directive.
The 2026 China International Auto Refit Expo is scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 June at the Western China International Expo City in Chengdu. Spanning an exhibition footprint of over 30,000 square metres, the event is projected to draw more than 300 domestic and international automotive brands, alongside over 100,000 trade visitors and members of the public.
The expo will feature ten dedicated thematic zones covering the entire automotive value chain—including complete vehicle builds, EV modifications, 4x4 off-road setups, commercial vehicle conversions, aftermarket parts and technology, design services, international brands, car tuning culture, and motorsport experiences. Highlights on the concurrent programme include the China Automotive Modification Industry Summit, the US SST Stadium Super Trucks Championship (staged at the Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit), the Super Truck Music Festival, and a food and cultural carnival, delivering a comprehensive showcase across exhibitions, forums, racing, and entertainment. Additionally, the event will officially launch the China International Automotive Modification Parts Centralised Procurement Platform, targeting a first-year transaction volume of RM20,000,000,000.
It is worth noting that while the "China International Auto Refit Expo" (CIARE) bears a similar title to the "AIT China International Automotive Tuning Exhibition" (All In Tuning), they are two distinct events. Organised by YASN International, AIT is slated for Beijing in March 2026 (held concurrently with CIAACE) and Dongguan in October, positioning itself firmly around commercial aftermarket trade and car culture. Conversely, CIARE functions primarily as a national-level policy platform driving regulatory standards, setting the two exhibitions apart in terms of organisers, host cities, and strategic objectives.
