Chengshi Automotive is an innovative brand in China's new energy commercial vehicle field, affiliated with Shandong Haochi Intelligent Automotive Co., Ltd., established in 2020, headquartered in Jinan, Shandong. The brand's mission is "to let every delivery rider enjoy a better life", focusing on the R&D, production, and global sales of new energy last-mile delivery logistics vehicles (human-operated + autonomous), being the first domestic brand to achieve mass production of autonomous driving vehicles based on 5G scenarios. There is a smart car production base - Haochi Base, covering more than 500 mu in Shandong, with complete four major processes, possessing an industrial manufacturing capacity of 100,000 units per year.
The operating entity of Chengshi Automotive, Haochi Intelligent, was established in 2020 by Qilu Caijin Investment Group Co., Ltd. and Matrix Data Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. in Laiwu District, Jinan City. In 2020, the brand obtained national filed vehicle production qualifications, becoming one of the few new forces to obtain vehicle qualifications after the new 2019 automobile investment management regulations. In 2022, Chengshi 01 logistics vehicles were selected as dedicated vehicles for the 19th Hangzhou Asian Games. In 2023, Chengshi Automotive reached a strategic cooperation with Yushi Technology to jointly create last-mile autonomous delivery vehicle solutions for express delivery. In June 2024, the brand launched multiple models including Chengshi 01 Fast Charging Version, Chengshi 01 Pro, Chengshi X5, and Chengshi X7Plus at the partner conference. In 2025, completed nearly 1 billion yuan Series B financing, led by Yinshan Capital, with joint investment from Yuanzhi Investment, Ganfeng Lithium, and Zhongxiang Jusheng. In 2026, Chengshi Automotive exited the joint venture project with Linyi State-owned Assets, adjusted and optimized business layout; in April of the same year, reached strategic cooperation with Shangyuan Zhixing to jointly promote the standardized development of the functional autonomous vehicle industry.
Chengshi Automotive focuses on last-mile delivery scenarios as its core, continuously enriching its product matrix. The Chengshi 01 is the brand's first logistics vehicle model, validated by three years of market application and possessing a core of mature user base. The Chengshi X5 and Chengshi X7 Plus are newly launched models in 2024, each equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor and fast charging capability. The Chengshi X2 is another micro-panel van model from the brand. Additionally, the brand has launched the Chengshi 01 Pro (2024 model), the Chengshi 01 Fast Charging Version, and other segment-specific iterative models. In terms of technology platforms, Chengshi has independently developed the Matrix SDV Developer Platform, an intelligent pure electric commercial vehicle development platform. The "zero-passenger new energy logistics vehicle" built on this platform has a top speed exceeding 70 km/h, a cargo load capacity of up to 0.6 tons, and can meet the delivery needs of the "express outlet to distribution station" scenario.
In May 2023, Chengshi Automotive sold 1,048 intelligent logistics vehicles in a single month, with deployments in cities such as Suzhou, Zhengzhou, Kunming, and Changsha. The industry recognized the company as a leader in the last-mile delivery segment, citing it as having the "widest range of application scenarios," the "most practical market applications," and the "highest sales volume." That same year, Chengshi Automotive received the "2023 Green City Distribution Annual City Distribution Recommended Brand Award." Moving into 2025, with strong support from its Series B financing, Chengshi Automotive has accelerated full market penetration through differentiated technology and a robust product lineup, while also expanding its marketing and service networks to more than 170 cities nationwide.
Chengshi has cumulatively obtained over 600 corporate standards and more than 140 patent technologies and software copyrights in core technology fields. The brand independently developed the Chengshi Brain System, which, through AI, big data, and GPS technology, achieves seamless integration with third-party platform business data and provides mature functions such as remote monitoring, fault diagnosis, and intelligent scheduling for vehicles. In the field of high-level autonomous driving, the autonomous delivery vehicles jointly developed by Chengshi and Yushi Technology were the first to implement scaled demonstration operations in "closed scenarios plus public roads" in locations such as Jinan, Beijing, and Shanghai. Regarding vehicle integration, Chengshi's main focus is on lightweight components and variable bodywork, as well as compact body structures and high-compactness electrical architectures suitable for last-mile delivery scenarios.
Overseas business is one of Chengshi's core strategies, with exports accounting for nearly one-third of total business. Products have been sold to Europe, Southeast Asia, South America, and other regions. The brand has successively completed batch exports and large-scale deliveries to the Dominican Republic (80 units), the Philippines, and other countries. In 2023, two scaled deliveries to the Dominican Republic were achieved, covering 30 units and 80 units respectively. Regarding overseas network construction, Chengshi has already built R&D and technology centers in Spain, Germany, and Italy, and will rely on the European ecosystem center to deeply promote localized adaptation in the future. At the same time, Chengshi plans to establish a second production base in the Hefei Shushan Economic Development Zone and will develop logistics vehicles for export to the EU in cooperation with German enterprises.
Chengshi Automotive has a clear development focus: using its Series B financing as a strong catalyst to accelerate the development of pure electric intelligent logistics vehicles with global competitiveness, while pushing forward its international expansion. Based on the Matrix SDV Developer Platform, Chengshi will concentrate on advancing two product lines toward higher-end iterations: last-mile unmanned new energy logistics vehicles and hybrid human-operated plus autonomous vehicles. On the global front, with the European Ecosystem Center now operating smoothly, the well-established overseas support networks in Spain, Germany, Italy, and beyond will effectively help Chengshi integrate into global supply chains. For autonomous delivery vehicles, the brand will speed up the cross-scenario compliance process and large-scale commercial deployment of last-mile autonomous deliveries. Moving forward, Chengshi will pursue its goal of becoming a global leader in urban new energy last-mile logistics vehicles.
