Brand Overview

C&C Trucks is a heavy truck brand under Chery Commercial Vehicle, operated by Jereh United Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., with headquarters located in the Sanshan Economic Development Zone of Wuhu City, Anhui Province. The company was established on March 12, 2009, with a registered capital of 3.97 billion RMB. It covers an area of 3,500 mu, employs approximately 1,700 people, and possesses an annual production capacity of 30,000 heavy truck units.
The brand was jointly established by five major industry giants: CIMC Group, Chery Automobile, Yuchai Group, Fast Gear Group, and Fuhua Heavy Industry. From its inception, it was positioned as a heavy truck brand targeting the "mid-to-high-end international market and high-end domestic market." Following equity restructuring in 2023, the four major shareholders of C&C Trucks are Chery Group (35.42%), CIMC Group (35.42%), Wuhu Industrial Fund (17.5%), and Xingzhong Venture Capital (11.66%), with Chery Commercial Vehicle holding dominant operational and management rights. Its logo is shield-shaped, embodying multiple meanings such as "union, creation, and safety."
Development History
C&C Trucks started with a "high starting point." The first model, the U460 flagship tractor, was launched at the Beijing Auto Show in 2010 with a price of 688,000 RMB, earning it the nickname "Volvo" of the Chinese heavy truck market. However, the overly high pricing led to insufficient market acceptance. In an era when competitor prices were generally below 300,000 RMB, the U460 failed to reverse its situation of being praised but not selling, with external sales volume in the first year falling short of 1,000 units. Thereafter, for more than ten years, the brand remained outside the industry Top 10, continuously under pressure due to subjective and objective factors such as high pricing, poor sales channels, and lack of funds, falling into a predicament of weak product iteration.
In October 2022, C&C Trucks underwent strategic restructuring, increasing its registered capital from 1.57 billion RMB to 3.97 billion RMB. After Chery Commercial Vehicle officially took the helm, the brand positioning was anchored as "extreme safety and stability new energy heavy truck," with the business core shifting to new energy and unmanned driving. Starting from 2023, it was renamed "C&C Trucks" (while retaining the Unia Heavy Truck identity in certain contexts).
Product Portfolio
C&C Trucks has constructed a clear strategy for the progressive promotion of "three generations of products," forming a comprehensive product matrix with the Qilin Platform (1.0) stabilizing the base, the Phoenix Platform (2.0) driving growth, and the 3.0 Platform (high-end intelligent driving, mass production in 2027) targeting medium-to-long haul operations.
Qilin Series (1.0 Platform): Main models include the Electric Qilin, Gold Qilin, and Fire Qilin. The Electric Qilin is a pure electric heavy truck equipped with CATL 400kWh high-density batteries, delivering a maximum output of 700 hp with a curb weight of only 9.8 tons, achieving price parity with diesel models. The Gold Qilin is a medium-to-long haul gas heavy truck equipped with a Yuchai 15L gas engine producing 570 hp, with gas consumption of 26.8kg per 100km, achieving price parity with traditional gas trucks.
Phoenix Series (2.0 Platform): This series includes the Cloud Phoenix (extended-range hybrid heavy truck with a 400kWh large battery and efficient range extender, offering a single range of 1,400 km), the Electric Phoenix (pure electric heavy truck equipped with a 600kWh battery, supporting three-gun 900A fast charging with electricity consumption as low as 1.08kWh/km), and the Gold Phoenix (gas heavy truck). These models cover short haul, medium-to-long haul, engineering transport, and specialized all-scenario applications.
Engineering and Special Vehicles: Newly added offerings include 8 cubic meter and 15 cubic meter mixer trucks and large-capacity dump trucks, with targeted development of electric Yak and other featured products.
Market Performance
2025 became the "Year of Turnaround" for C&C Trucks: the company achieved three-dimensional growth in sales, revenue, and profit, with annual sales increasing year-over-year by 725%, ranking first in the industry for growth rate and successfully joining the heavy truck industry Top 10. Among these achievements, new energy heavy truck performance was particularly eye-catching, with full-year sales surpassing 5,400 units, a year-over-year surge of 889%. Models equipped with Cloud Phoenix large-capacity small extended-range technology were featured in CCTV's "Morning News" program, becoming a phenomenal product in the extended-range heavy truck field.
In October 2026, single-month production and sales exceeded 1,000 units for the first time, joining the new energy heavy truck Top 10. In January 2026, C&C Trucks' single-factory output value grew year-over-year by 812.5%, realizing a "Good start" for the new year.
The full-year sales goal for 2026 is 15,000 units, of which 12,000 units are new energy heavy trucks. In January-February 2026, the new energy light truck market share climbed to 17.4%, consecutively winning the segmented market monthly list champion.
Core Technology
C&C Trucks' technological advantage derives from Chery Group's "Passenger-Commercial Synergy" strategy empowerment, with forward development guided by new energy and smart connectivity as the core orientation from the underlying architecture, rather than simply equipping electric components.
Two Industry-First Cutting-Edge Technologies: Firstly, High-power AC Charging technology, which reduces charging pile costs by 90% and supports Mobile Recharging and Reverse Charging; Secondly, High-Capacity Small Extended Range technology, which breaks the new energy range barrier.
Fenglin Intelligent Control and Yuntu Extended Range: The former is a high-computing-power full-domain vehicle control domain controller, supporting slope recognition and load recognition, capable of over 1,300 types of fault prediction mechanisms; the latter is a path-sensing energy management system where the dedicated range extender generates 4.2 kWh per liter of diesel, achieving a single range of up to 1,400 km.
Three-Electrics Localization Layout: C&C Trucks focuses on deep self-developed battery management, multi-in-one electric drive, and vehicle energy flow optimization, and has established strategic cooperation relationships with four top power battery enterprises.
Global Presence
C&C Trucks actively practices the "Belt and Road Initiative," relying on Chery Group's export channels in over 180 countries globally for overseas deployment. Products have been sold to Southeast Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and other regions, achieving batch delivery in more than 10 countries including the Philippines, Myanmar, Nigeria, and Pakistan. The Philippines has already constructed a complete local sales and service system. The brand achieved consecutive five years of international market sales growth, and the overseas market was listed in 2026 as the second strategic track after new energy, with eight major key focus markets confirmed, initially importing traditional energy vehicles.
Future Outlook
C&C Trucks proposed an ambitious 2030 strategy: new energy heavy truck annual sales of 65,000 units, revenue of 23 billion RMB, entering the heavy truck industry Top 6 and the new energy heavy truck industry Top 3. To support this goal, the company is currently vigorously pushing the "3.0 Platform" – the first new energy high-end intelligent driving heavy truck facing global forward development, planned for comprehensive mass production in 2027. At that time, it will form all-around technology leadership in energy consumption economy, high-end intelligent driving, and zero-carbon technology.
