Voyah Dream 9 launched in China with 800V platform and Huawei ADS 5, from RMB 419,900

Voyah has launched its new flagship MPV Dream 9 in China on 22 September. The range consists of three variants, with each available in both plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and pure-electric versions. Prices start from RMB 419,900.

Voyah also confirmed that a right-hand-drive version of the Dream 9 will begin rolling out in overseas markets from November this year.

The Dream 9 sits at the top of Voyah's Dream series, with major changes to the exterior, interior and equipment compared with the regular Dream.

Up front, the MPV retains the large upright grille, but adds a gradient light strip with a tassel-like appearance. The split headlamp units are joined by a Big Dipper-inspired starburst light pattern underneath, giving the front end a distinctive look when illuminated.

Along the sides, the Dream 9 gets a gold-effect waistline trim, while a two-tone exterior is also available.

The MPV measures 5,325 mm long, 1,998 mm wide and 1,805 mm tall, with a 3,200 mm wheelbase. It is particularly long for its class, while its lower height gives it a different proportion from many other large MPVs.

The rear design remains broadly similar to the regular model, although the internal detailing of the tail-lights and the bumper have been revised.

The Voyah Dream 9 has been developed around an L3-capable architecture.

It features Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 intelligent driving technology and HarmonySpace 6 for the cabin. The sensor package consists of one 896-line LiDAR, three high-precision solid-state LiDAR units and a total of 37 sensors, providing coverage around the vehicle.

Inside, the second-row seats can swivel through multiple angles and slide sideways, while also offering a zero-gravity mode and mechanical massage.

The second and third rows are fitted with LC adaptive-tint glass and a segmented panoramic roof. Two removable armrest-mounted control screens allow passengers to operate various cabin functions without reaching for the main display.

All Dream 9 variants use an 800V high-voltage platform.

The plug-in hybrid version comes with a 65 kWh battery as standard and supports 5C ultra-fast charging, with a claimed 20–80% charging time of just 12 minutes.

The pure-electric version gets a much larger 120 kWh battery.

The chassis features three-chamber air suspension and dual-valve EDC dampers, while Voyah's VMC intelligent domain controller can make suspension adjustments in milliseconds.

The Dream 9 also gets rear-wheel steering with up to 10 degrees of steering angle, together with a double-wishbone front suspension, five-link rear suspension and intelligent electric all-wheel drive.
