iCAUR V27 Long Range launching in China on 30 September, with range and tech upgrades

iCAUR has confirmed that the V27 Long Range will go on sale in China on 30 September.

The new version will get upgrades to its range, cabin comfort and intelligent features. The current iCAUR V27 has a claimed CLTC combined range of up to 1,230 km, and the Long Range version's final figures will be revealed at launch.

The iCAUR V27 uses a range-extender powertrain with a dedicated 1.5-litre turbocharged engine. The current model is available with both RWD and AWD.

The RWD version has a claimed CLTC pure-electric range of up to 210 km and a combined range of 1,230 km. The AWD version has 200 km of pure-electric range and a 1,200 km combined range.

The AWD model produces 335 kW and 505 Nm.

The V27 follows iCAUR's "new family rugged" design theme, with a boxy body and upright proportions.

It measures 5,055 mm long, 1,976 mm wide and 1,894 mm tall, with a 2,910 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is 220 mm, while maximum wading depth is 600 mm, giving the V27 the hardware to handle both city driving and outdoor trips.

Inside, the V27 gets Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8295P automotive chip and a 15.4-inch 2.5K central screen. The system supports an AI voice assistant, four-zone voice recognition, as well as Apple CarPlay, HiCar and CarLink.

Higher-spec versions also come with LiDAR and an intelligent driver-assistance system.

iCAUR says the Long Range version will offer more pure-electric and combined range, along with upgrades to cabin comfort and intelligent features.

The final range figures, price and equipment list will be announced when the iCAUR V27 Long Range goes on sale on 30 September.
