XPENG X-Energy: Hong Kong's first megawatt flash-charging station opens in San Po Kong, open to all EV brands

XPENG has teamed up with Halo to open Hong Kong's first megawatt-level flash-charging station. Located in San Po Kong, Kowloon, the X-Energy station started operations on 15 September and is open to EVs of all brands, not just XPENG models.

The station has a maximum output of 1,000 kW and can deliver up to 1,000A of current. It uses liquid-cooled flash-charging technology and XPENG's own 400 kWh energy storage system.

The system can deliver megawatt-level charging power while drawing no more than 240 kW from the grid. The energy storage system supplies the additional power, helping overcome the limited grid capacity available for high-power charging in Hong Kong.

Unlike charging stations that are restricted to their own brands, the X-Energy station is open to any EV that meets the relevant charging standards.

The station is located near Diamond Hill MTR Station and AIRSIDE, making it convenient for drivers to charge while shopping or working in the area.
