Tesla Cybercab makes Asian debut in Hong Kong, on display until 15 September

Tesla's driverless Cybercab has arrived in Hong Kong as the first stop of its Asia tour. It is on display at ELEMENTS in Kowloon from 9 to 15 September, at the Metal Zone on Level 1. The exhibition is open from 10am to 9pm.

Designed specifically for fully autonomous operation, the Cybercab does away with the traditional steering wheel and pedals. Inside, there are just two seats and a central touchscreen, which passengers can use to control functions such as the doors, air conditioning and entertainment system.

Tesla officially launched the Cybercab in Austin, Texas, on 3 September, and the vehicle has since entered driverless passenger service there.

The Cybercab cannot currently be driven on Hong Kong roads due to local regulations, so the Hong Kong appearance is limited to a static display. After Hong Kong, the Cybercab will continue its Asia tour in Tokyo, Beijing and Shanghai.
