Li Auto heading to Europe: Electric Li 6 leads the charge at Paris Motor Show

Li Auto will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show this October, marking the Chinese EV maker's first appearance at a major European motor show.

The company will use the event to show the all-electric Li 6 to European audiences for the first time. Known as the Li i6 in China, the model will also feature in Li Auto's presentation of its global line-up and plans for the European market.

Li Auto has already started building a presence in Europe. The company was an official partner of the 2026 Solheim Cup in the Netherlands from 7 to 13 September, supplying vehicles for players and guests.

The company is approaching overseas markets differently depending on local conditions. In May, Li Auto executive director and president Ma Donghui said factors such as market size and competition would determine whether the company works through a local subsidiary, dealers or an exclusive distributor.

Li Auto also plans to work with established local partners on sales, vehicle delivery and after-sales support.

The company has entered Macau, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar earlier this year.

In the Middle East and Central Asia, Li Auto is focusing on its range-extender L Series and has launched the Li L9. The L9 has been adapted for local conditions, with updates to charging, air conditioning and thermal management.

Europe will get the all-electric Li 6 in the second half of the year.

Li Auto also plans to introduce the right-hand-drive MEGA to markets including Hong Kong and Singapore by the end of 2026.
