On May 18, Great Wall Motor's Weiyu brand officially launched its flagship SUV, the V9X. Priced from RMB 349,800 to RMB 389,800, the new model undercuts pre-sale prices by approximately RMB 22,000. As the first production model built on the Guiyuan S platform, the V9X is positioned as an "AI luxury six-seat flagship," integrating a 2.0T Super Hi4 hybrid system, a four-speed DHT, 800V architecture and 6C ultra-fast charging.

The long-wheelbase variant measures 5,299 mm in length with a 3,150 mm wheelbase – 45 mm longer than the Li Auto L9. The 2.0T Super Hi4 system delivers 550 kW on the executive variant, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds with a full charge and 4.8 seconds even when depleted. WLTC fuel consumption stands at 6.3 litres per 100 km, with CLTC combined range reaching 1,700 km. The 80 kWh battery provides 470 km of all-electric range, while 6C charging adds 200 km in just five minutes.

The V9X comes standard with a closed dual-chamber air suspension, EDC dampers and 20° rear-axle steering, reducing the turning radius to 5.1 metres. Inside, a Qualcomm 8295P chip powers a 21.4-inch 4K rear screen and 31-speaker audio system. Second-row zero-gravity seats offer 22-point massage, while third-row seating provides 952 mm of legroom. The body comprises 88.8 per cent high-strength steel and aluminium.

Pricing the V9X from RMB 349,800 fills a gap between smaller models (Li Auto L8 from RMB 321,800) and full-size flagships (Li Auto L9 from RMB 459,800). For Hong Kong buyers, a right-hand-drive version has not yet been confirmed. If homologated under the "One-for-One Replacement" EV tax scheme, the V9X would cost approximately HK$380,000–480,000. No RHD timeline or certification progress has been announced.
