On May 16, Chery officially launched the Fengyun T9 Long Range Edition, with a limited-time promotional price starting from 109,900 RMB (regular MSRP 119,900–139,900 RMB). Based on real-world feedback from over 150,000 users, the new model has been comprehensively upgraded across four key areas: design, range, intelligence and comfort.

The exterior features a new "String Grid" front grille inspired by traditional Chinese guqin, alongside a new Stone Forest Grey paint option. The cabin adopts a Walnut Brown colour scheme with a 3D mesh suede dashboard, and comes standard with a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch 2.5K central display powered by a Qualcomm 8155 chip (upgradable to 8255 on higher trims). The Lion infotainment system supports voice control, online navigation, smartphone mirroring and full-vehicle OTA updates, including CarPlay, HiCar and Carlink connectivity.

The 32.66 kWh LFP battery delivers a 220 km CLTC pure-electric range (up from 120 km) and a combined range of 1,800 km. The 1.5T plug-in hybrid system (45.79% thermal efficiency) produces 265 kW and 530 N·m, sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 8 seconds. It supports 80 kW DC fast charging (30% to 80% in 15 minutes) and features standard 6.6 kW V2L discharge capability.

The Fengyun T9 measures 4,816 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width and 1,738 mm in height, with a 2,770 mm wheelbase. Its 1,930 mm width provides class-leading spaciousness, while second-row legroom reaches up to 1,019 mm. The 5+2 seat layout transforms into a 2.1-square-metre flat space when the second and third rows are folded, serving as a "mobile bed" for camping or carrying large loads. Comfort features include 10-way power driver seat adjustment, heated steering wheel, one-touch front passenger recline (125° torso, 128° leg angle), plus ventilated, heated and massaged front seats.

Higher trims offer the optional Falcon 500 ADAS package, featuring highway NOA, LCC Plus, full-scenario auto parking and remote parking. The 85% high-strength steel body with 21% hot-formed steel, seven airbags, Rhino battery protection (IP68 waterproof rating) and Bosch IPB 2.0 braking system meet global five-star safety standards.

Pricing starts at a limited-time 109,900 RMB, undercutting the BYD Song Plus DM-i (135,800 RMB) and Geely Galaxy L7 (139,700 RMB) while offering more space and greater range. Seven promotional benefits, including a 10,000 RMB cash discount, trade-in subsidies, 0 down payment/low-interest financing, and lifetime vehicle warranty (original owner), are available through June 30.
For Hong Kong buyers, Chery has not yet announced right-hand-drive development or import plans for the Fengyun T9 Long Range. If homologated under the "One-for-One Replacement" EV scheme, its approximately 120,000–140,000 HKD price point could offer strong value. Buyers should monitor further announcements from Chery Hong Kong.
