Zunjie Large SUV Patent Images Revealed – Dual C-Shaped Lights Command Attention

On May 15, exterior patent images of a large SUV from Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance’s Zunjie brand were officially unveiled. The new vehicle boasts a substantial presence, with the front fascia continuing Zunjie‘s family design language. The distinctive dual C-shaped headlight clusters are particularly eye-catching. As of now, Zunjie has not announced the official name, production timeline, or detailed specifications.

Design Language Takes Shape

The patent images reveal a design direction consistent with Zunjie’s earlier sedan concept. The front end is dominated by split-type dual C-shaped light clusters, connected by a full-width LED light bar. The closed grille will likely feature an illuminated brand logo. The side profile is smooth and muscular, with proportions suggesting a full-size SUV exceeding 5.2 meters in length with a wheelbase over 3.1 meters. Concealed door handles, large multi-spoke wheels, and a floating roof design reinforce the premium positioning. The rear adopts a full-width taillight assembly that echoes the front lighting signature.

Positioning: Above AITO M9, Targeting Premium Flagships

Within the Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance lineup, the AITO M9 is a large SUV priced from approximately 470,000 to 570,000 RMB. The Zunjie SUV’s larger footprint strongly indicates a higher positioning, with industry speculation placing its price between 600,000 and 800,000 RMB or above. Direct rivals would include the Li Auto L9 Livis, NIO ES9, as well as imported flagships such as the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS. Zunjie is a joint venture between Huawei and JAC Motors. A large sedan is expected to launch in late 2026, with this SUV likely following in 2027.

Expected Technology

Based on the AITO M9 and Zunjie’s sedan concept, the SUV is expected to feature Huawei‘s full technology stack. This includes the Qiankun ADS 5.0 with high-performance LiDAR for urban and highway pilot, the HarmonyOS 5.0 cockpit with multi-screen interaction and AI voice assistant, both pure-electric and extended-range powertrains (800V platform, over 700 km range), and the Tuling intelligent chassis with air suspension, CDC, and rear-wheel steering.

Market Significance

The Zunjie SUV completes Huawei’s “four brands” strategy: AITO (premium mass-market), Zhijie (sporty coupes), Xiangjie (executive sedans), and Zunjie (ultra-luxury flagship). Together they cover a price spectrum from 200,000 to over 1 million RMB. The key question is whether Zunjie can succeed in the ultra-luxury segment, where brand heritage matters as much as technology.

Outlook for Hong Kong

If Zunjie develops a right-hand-drive version for Hong Kong, the SUV’s expected 600,000+ RMB price would translate to approximately HK$660,000 or more under the “One-for-One Replacement” scheme. However, no right-hand-drive plans or distributor arrangements have been announced. Buyers may first gauge Zunjie’s intentions through its sedan, expected in late 2026.
