Geely Galaxy M7 Launches from RMB 109,800: 1,730 km Combined Range

Geely has officially launched the Galaxy M7, a new compact plug‑in hybrid SUV. Official guide prices range from RMB 119,800 to 147,800, with a limited‑time offer of RMB 109,800 to 137,800.

Exterior & Dimensions

The M7 adopts the Galaxy series ‘Aquatic Aesthetics‘ design language with a closed front grille, full‑width LED DRLs and split matrix headlamps. Hidden door handles and low‑drag wheels contribute to a clean profile. Dimensions: approximately 4,550 mm long, 1,850 mm wide, 1,680 mm high, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase.

Interior

The cabin features a large floating centre touchscreen (estimated 13.2 inches) and a 10.2‑inch digital instrument cluster running Geely’s Galaxy OS. Leather seats (heated front seats on higher trims), wireless charging, automatic climate control and a panoramic sunroof (optional) are available.

Powertrain & Range

The M7 is powered by Geely‘s new‑generation Leishen EM‑i plug‑in hybrid system, combining a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine (82 kW) with a 160 kW electric motor, delivering 0‑100 km/h in approximately 7.5 seconds.

Two LFP battery options are offered: a standard 19 kWh battery providing 125 km CLTC pure electric range, and a long‑range 30 kWh battery delivering 225 km CLTC pure electric range — among the highest in its class. Combined range reaches an impressive 1,730 km. Low‑battery fuel consumption is approximately 4.5 L/100 km. DC fast charging takes the battery from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes, and 3.3 kW V2L discharge is standard.

Driver Assistance

The M7 comes standard with L2 ADAS, including adaptive cruise, lane centring, AEB, forward collision warning and blind‑spot monitoring. Higher trims add a 360‑degree camera and auto parking assistance.

Market Positioning

Priced from RMB 109,800 (limited time), the Galaxy M7 competes with the BYD Song Pro DM‑i (from around RMB 120,000), Haval Xiaolong and Changan UNI‑Z iDD. Its 225 km pure electric range and 1,730 km total range significantly outclass rivals, making it a compelling choice for budget‑conscious families who want near‑EV daily running costs without range anxiety.

For Hong Kong buyers, Geely has yet to introduce the brand officially, but the M7 is worth watching as the Greater Bay Area‘s NEV ecosystem matures. The model will be available in mainland showrooms from May 2026.
