Arcfox officially opened pre-orders for the WenDao V9 on April 28, the first model of its newly launched premium WenDao series. Four variants are offered, with pre-sale subsidised prices ranging from RMB 219,900 to 286,900. Built on the Polaris all‑digital high‑end platform, the WenDao V9 is positioned as an all‑round luxury flagship MPV, offering a combined range of up to 1,330 km. Deliveries are expected to begin in the second quarter of 2026.

The WenDao V9‘s most noteworthy feature isn’t a surface‑level spec sheet, but three fundamental engineering breakthroughs that solve the persistent pain points of large MPVs—poor ride quality, excessive body roll and clumsy handling.

The vehicle comes standard with a magnetorheological intelligent suspension, capable of adjusting damping force in just 1 millisecond — ten times faster than traditional CDC technology. Combined with a smart preview system that scans the road up to 25 metres ahead and an AI model that identifies speed bumps, expansion joints and cracked surfaces, the suspension is already primed before the wheel ever contacts the road. Hardware specifications include a full‑aluminium double‑wishbone front suspension and a five‑link rear suspension — an extremely rare combination at this price point.
Safety has also been thoroughly engineered. The body utilises 89.83% high‑strength steel with a seven‑longitudinal, six‑cross structure, and features the industry’s first embedded metal roll cage in an MPV. The battery is protected by a 15‑layer physical structure, with each cell wrapped in aviation‑grade insulation capable of withstanding 1,000°C, and a ceramic top layer rated for 1,200°C.

Measuring 5,300 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width and 1,850 mm in height, with a 3,200 mm wheelbase and a 2+2+3 seven‑seat layout, the WenDao V9 delivers a 77% space utilisation ratio and a low 400‑mm step‑in height. Second‑row zero‑gravity seats feature 16‑point pneumatic massage and graphene heating, while the third‑row seat cushion extends to 500 mm. Rear‑wheel steering technology reduces the turning circle to just 5.7 metres, significantly improving manoeuvrability in tight spaces.
The WenDao V9 is equipped with a Huawei Snow Owl intelligent silent range‑extender system, pairing a 1.5T range extender with a drive motor. The 1.5T range extender achieves a thermal efficiency of 43.23%, while the motor delivers peak power of 227 kW (309 hp) and 320 N·m of torque — enough for a 0‑100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds.

Battery options are provided by CATL, with the top‑spec version offering a CLTC pure electric range of 310 km and a combined range of 1,330 km. With 4C fast charging, the battery can be replenished from 20% to 80% in just 15 minutes. Combined fuel consumption in low‑battery conditions is rated at 6.0 L/100 km.

The WenDao V9 comes standard with the Yuanjing intelligent driver assistance system, featuring highway and urban NOA capabilities. Hardware includes multiple HD cameras, mmWave radars and ultrasonic sensors, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 cockpit‑integrated chip. The system handles automated ramp entry/exit, smart overtaking, tunnel navigation on highways, and traffic light recognition, unprotected left turns and roundabouts in cities. Parking functions include auto parking, memory parking and remote parking.
Inside, a 15.6‑inch floating centre screen and full digital instrument cluster are paired with 6‑zone independent voice interaction — so even third‑row passengers can adjust their own climate settings by voice. A 22‑speaker sound system, co‑tuned with the National Centre for the Performing Arts, and 256‑colour ambient lighting complete the cabin.

The WenDao V9‘s pre‑order price is highly competitive. For reference, competing flagship MPVs are generally priced above RMB 300,000.
Early bird benefits include: lifetime warranty on the electric drive system, free replacement within 8 years/150,000 km if battery degradation exceeds standards, a “burn‑one‑pay‑one” guarantee, RMB 10,000 purchase tax subsidy, RMB 5,000 trade‑in subsidy, RMB 11,000 usage protection package, and RMB 1,880 “WenDao” gift.
For Hong Kong buyers, the Arcfox brand has not yet been officially launched in the city. However, as the Greater Bay Area’s new energy vehicle ecosystem matures and right‑hand‑drive development becomes possible, this 5.3‑metre flagship MPV — combining advanced suspension technology, Huawei EREV powertrain and urban NOA at an accessible price — is certainly worth watching.
