Chery has officially announced that the all-new Tiggo 9 will launch on April 22 at the Chery New Fuel Night. Positioned as an “ultra-comfortable smart flagship SUV,” the new model is a core vehicle under Chery‘s “China New Fuel” strategy, offering five-seat and seven-seat layouts with an official guide price range of RMB 152,900 to 203,900.

The entry-level five-seat version starts at RMB 152,900, while the top-tier seven-seat flagship starts at RMB 203,900. The target market is family users in the RMB 150,000–200,000 price range.

The Tiggo 9 adopts a vertical waterfall grille with new double‑L shaped DRLs. Body dimensions: length 4,853 mm, width 1,930 mm, height 1,730 mm, wheelbase 2,820 mm — larger than the previous model. Hidden door handles and 20‑inch wheels are standard.

The cabin features a 30‑inch 6K integrated screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 chip, and a column shifter — freeing up centre console space. The front passenger seat includes an electric leg rest “queen seat”. A 23‑speaker premium sound system and 256‑colour ambient lighting are also featured.

The SQRF4J20C 2.0T engine delivers 192 kW (261 hp) and 400 Nm of torque. It is paired with an Aisin 8AT transmission, achieving WLTC fuel consumption of 7.5 L/100 km. CDC “magnetic levitation” suspension and the Snow Leopard AWD system with seven driving modes are standard.

The Falcon 500 ADAS system supports highway NOA and auto parking, with 540° camera and L2+ functions including lane centring and AEB.

The all-new Tiggo 9 represents Chery‘s strong counterattack in the RMB 150,000–200,000 fuel SUV segment. While not yet available in Hong Kong, the model is worth watching for frequent mainland travellers. More details will follow after its official launch on April 22.
