The Qijing GT7, co-developed by GAC and Huawei Qiankun, has officially received a permit for Level 3 conditional autonomous driving road testing. The vehicle will conduct one‑year tests on designated highways in Guangzhou, including the Congpu Expressway Phase 1 and Nansha Port Expressway.

Perception Hardware: 896‑Line LiDAR + Dual‑Focus Vision

The GT7 features the world‘s highest‑spec production LiDAR — Huawei’s 896‑line dual‑path image‑grade unit — capable of detecting 14cm obstacles at 120 metres. The integrated dual‑focus vision system combines wide‑angle and telephoto lenses for seamless near‑and‑far coverage.

Qijing Brand Background

Qijing is a new premium intelligent EV brand jointly created by GAC Group and Huawei Qiankun. The GT7 is the brand‘s first model, positioned as a pure electric sedan/coupe with a sleek, low‑profile design, closed front grille, full‑width LED lights, and roof‑mounted LiDAR.

Powertrain & Range

The GT7 is expected to feature an 800V platform with dual‑motor all‑wheel drive, 0‑100 km/h in the 3‑second range, over 100 kWh battery capacity, and CLTC range exceeding 700 km. HarmonyOS cockpit with a large floating screen and 5G connectivity will be standard.

Market Positioning

Priced between RMB 250,000 and 350,000, the GT7 competes with the Tesla Model 3, Xpeng P7, and BYD Han EV. Its differentiation lies in Huawei‘s full‑stack intelligence — from LiDAR to ADS and HarmonyOS.

The Qijing GT7 will make its public debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show. More details will follow after the unveiling.
