BYD has released teaser images of the third-generation Yuan PLUS, confirming its debut at the Beijing Auto Show. The new model retains BYD’s family design language and will feature the second-generation Blade Battery and the latest BYD flash charging technology.

The teasers show an evolved Dragon Face design with a closed grille, full-width LED DRLs, and sleeker bumpers. Hidden door handles and aero wheels carry over, while the rear full-width taillights may adopt new parametric internals.
The second-generation Blade Battery offers about 30% higher volumetric energy density, improved low‑temperature performance, and the same intrinsic safety. BYD‘s flash charging technology is expected to deliver 5C rates, adding 200‑300 km of range in 5 minutes.

The front‑drive single‑motor output may increase from 150 kW to 160‑180 kW. CLTC range could exceed 600 km (up from 510 km), with a long‑range version possibly reaching 700 km.

DiLink 5.0 with a rotating screen, 5G, voice control, and OTA updates will be standard. DiPilot L2 ADAS (adaptive cruise, lane centring, AEB) is included, with L2+ highway assist and auto parking on higher trims.

The Yuan PLUS (sold as BYD ATTO 3 in Hong Kong) is a top‑selling compact electric SUV. The third‑generation model strengthens its position against rivals like GAC Aion Y and Xpeng G3i. A Hong Kong launch is expected in late 2026 or early 2027.
The third‑gen Yuan PLUS upgrades range, charging speed, and intelligence while retaining its balanced appeal. More details will follow its Beijing Auto Show debut.
