Jetta has released more teaser images of the JETTA X concept car, which adopts an all-new design language. The concept will make its global debut at the Volkswagen Group Night on April 21, followed by a public appearance at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show on April 24.

Originally a classic model series under FAW-Volkswagen, Jetta became an independent brand under the Volkswagen Group in 2020, targeting the entry-level and younger market with the VA3, VS5 and VS7. The JETTA X concept marks the brand’s first step toward electrification and intelligent mobility.

The teasers reveal a closed front grille with a parametric matrix pattern and a illuminated Jetta logo. Full-width headlights incorporate X‑shaped light elements, echoing the model name. The side profile features sharp character lines, a floating roof, hidden door handles, and low‑drag wheels. The rear includes a full-width LED taillight with X‑shaped details and a large diffuser.
Expected to be a compact electric crossover, the JETTA X likely measures around 4.3‑4.5 metres in length with a wheelbase of approximately 2.7 metres, targeting urban commuters and young families.

While interior details are not yet revealed, the cabin is expected to feature a large floating touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and reduced physical buttons, running Volkswagen’s latest connected system with 5G, voice control, and OTA updates.
The concept is likely built on the MEB or MEB Entry platform. A single rear motor with 100‑150 kW, paired with a 40‑60 kWh battery, is expected to deliver 400‑500 km CLTC range. DC fast charging and L2 ADAS (adaptive cruise, lane keeping, AEB) are anticipated.

The JETTA X will debut at the Volkswagen Group Night on April 21, then move to the Jetta booth at the Beijing Auto Show (April 24 – May 3).
A production version is expected in 2027‑2028, priced around RMB 100,000‑150,000, competing with the BYD Yuan Plus and GAC Aion Y. For Hong Kong buyers, the model remains a potential future option as Greater Bay Area EV integration progresses.

The JETTA X concept signals Jetta’s entry into the electric era. With its fresh design, EV platform, and smart cabin, it offers an affordable yet quality‑focused option for the entry-level EV market. More details will follow after its debut.
