Hongqi has officially launched the 800V ultra-fast charging editions of the Tiangong 05 and Tiangong 06. The Tiangong 05 800V edition is priced at RMB 171,800, while the Tiangong 06 800V edition is priced at RMB 191,800. Both models retain their existing designs, introduce a new “Cloud Dream Silver” exterior colour, and feature a 800V high-voltage ultra-fast charging architecture.

The core upgrade is the 800V electrical architecture, supporting over 300 kW DC fast charging. Under optimal conditions, 15 minutes of charging adds approximately 450 km of range (CLTC standard). The self-developed battery technology ensures safety and cold-weather performance.

The new “Cloud Dream Silver” colour is inspired by classical Chinese poetry, presenting an elegant, soft silver-grey hue that shifts subtly under different lighting conditions.
The Tiangong 05 is a mid-size sedan measuring 4,820 mm long with a 2,920 mm wheelbase. The Tiangong 06 is a mid-size SUV measuring 4,750 mm long with a 2,850 mm wheelbase. Both are built on the FMEs pure‑electric platform.

Both models feature a 15.6‑inch floating touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and AR head‑up display running the Qisi OS with 5G, OTA, and voice control. Premium仿皮 or leather seats with heating, ventilation, and ambient lighting are offered.

Both are single‑motor rear‑wheel drive. Tiangong 05 delivers 200 kW and 360 Nm, with 0‑100 km/h in 6.5 seconds. Tiangong 06 delivers 210 kW and 380 Nm, with 0‑100 km/h in 7.2 seconds. With a 75 kWh battery, CLTC range is 700 km for the Tiangong 05 and 620 km for the Tiangong 06. V2L discharge is standard.

Standard L2+ ADAS includes adaptive cruise, lane centring, automatic emergency braking, and auto parking. Higher trims add highway navigation assist.

The Tiangong 05 competes with the BYD Seal and Xpeng P7, while the Tiangong 06 rivals the BYD Song L and Leapmotor C11. Both leverage Hongqi’s premium brand image and 800V charging technology. For Hong Kong users frequently travelling to the mainland or residing in the Greater Bay Area, these models are worth watching. More details will follow after their Beijing Auto Show appearance.
