GWM Poer Hi4-T Pre-sale at Beijing Auto Show

GWM has released an official image of the new Poer Hi4-T and announced that pre-sales will begin at the Beijing Auto Show on April 24. Both passenger and commercial versions will be offered.

Teaser Breakdown: Passenger vs. Commercial Versions

The passenger version features a large chrome grille, matrix LED headlights, multi‑spoke alloy wheels, and a premium interior with a floating touchscreen, digital cluster, and leather seats. The commercial version adopts a black grille, steel or simple alloy wheels, all‑terrain tyres, and a durable, easy‑to‑clean interior.

Powertrain: Hi4-T Intelligent 4WD Hybrid

The Hi4-T system combines a 2.0T turbo engine (185 kW, 380 Nm) with a P2 electric motor (120 kW, 400 Nm), paired with a 9HAT transmission. System output exceeds 300 kW and 750 Nm. A 37 kWh ternary lithium battery provides an estimated 100 km of WLTC pure electric range. Fuel consumption in low‑battery mode is expected to be 8‑9 L/100 km. The system retains a mechanical four‑wheel drive layout for reliability under heavy loads.

Driving Modes and Off‑road Capability

Driving modes include EV, hybrid, smart, and charge‑forced. A rear differential lock and multiple terrain modes are standard. The passenger version adds crawl control and tank turn assist.

Market Positioning

The Poer Hi4‑T targets both personal users (outdoor, camping) and commercial users (construction, logistics). Pricing is expected to be RMB 30,000‑50,000 above the equivalent petrol versions.
