FAW Hongqi has officially announced its vehicle lineup for the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, featuring multiple strategic new models including the all-new Hongqi H9, all-new Hongqi H7, the production version of the Hongqi off-road vehicle, and the Tiangong S-concept concept car. The lineup spans four key segments: premium executive sedans, plug-in hybrid sedans, luxury hardcore off-road vehicles, and futuristic pure-electric concept cars.

The all-new Hongqi H9 will be built on Hongqi's self-developed FMEs modular electric platform, with its technical prototype based on the previously trial-produced E702 electric model. Although an official production timeline has not yet been announced, the vehicle has reportedly achieved Level 3 autonomous driving capability in testing, supporting highway navigation assistance and continuous feature upgrades for urban driving scenarios.

The exterior design retains Hongqi's signature dignified presence, with a familiar front-end language that blends classic visual identity with modern electric aesthetics. The body features a sleek fastback coupe silhouette, and the rear lines offer greater tension, balancing executive sedan composure with youthful sportiness.
The all-new Hongqi H7 has completed its MIIT declaration and will officially adopt a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The vehicle measures 5,060 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,970 mm, filling the product gap between the Hongqi H6 and H9.

The exterior features Hongqi's family-style semi-closed front grille with split LED headlamps. A sleek fastback profile, semi-concealed door handles, and elongated rear light clusters with the Chinese "Hongqi" logo complete the design.
The powertrain consists of a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, model CA4GB15TDH-36, with a maximum output of 110 kW, paired with either ternary lithium or lithium iron phosphate battery packs.
The Hongqi off-road production version is positioned as a hardcore off-road vehicle, faithfully retaining the design essence of the earlier concept model with a classic "box" hardcore styling.

Dimensions: 5,135 mm in length, 2,050 mm in width, 1,950 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,900 mm. The front features a large vertical grille and semi-circular LED headlamps. A LiDAR unit is integrated into the roof, and the rear features a full-size externally mounted spare tyre with vertical LED taillights.
The vehicle is built on a body-on-frame chassis with air suspension and mechanical differential locks on both axles. The powertrain combines a 2.0-litre turbo range extender with four electric motors, delivering 620 kW of combined power and 1,320 Nm of peak torque, achieving 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. CLTC pure-electric range is 280 km, with a total range of 1,350 km. The model is scheduled for market launch in the second half of 2026.

The Tiangong S-concept is a concept car designed to showcase Hongqi's forward-thinking vision in future pure-electric design and intelligent technology. Built on Hongqi's Tiangong pure-electric platform, which covers A-segment to C+ segment electric vehicles, the concept focuses on future luxury EV design directions, integrating Hongqi's latest design language and smart cockpit technologies.
The four strategic models showcased at the Beijing Auto Show demonstrate Hongqi's comprehensive push into premium electrification. The pure-electric H9 with L3 ADAS highlights the brand's technological capabilities; the plug-in hybrid H7 offers a balanced choice in the mid-to-large sedan segment; the off-road production version marks Hongqi's official entry into the luxury off-road SUV market; and the Tiangong S-concept outlines the brand's future design direction. For Hong Kong car enthusiasts interested in premium Chinese automotive brands, Hongqi's latest moves are well worth following.
