Fangchengbao has officially announced that its first-ever sedan lineup will make its public debut at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show (April 24 to May 3). This marks the brand's first foray into the sedan segment after establishing itself with the "Leopard" series of off-road SUVs. The new model adopts a dynamic fastback coupe design with a low stance and flowing body lines.

The new sedan features a four-door GT coupe silhouette. The roofline slopes sharply after the B-pillar, creating a smooth fastback profile. Short front and rear overhangs combined with a long wheelbase give it a poised, athletic stance. The front bonnet features two prominent creases. At the rear, a subtle ducktail spoiler and curved taillights are complemented by a pronounced diffuser.
The sides feature semi-concealed door handles and multiple cameras positioned around the body.
The new sedan measures over 5 metres in length with a wheelbase of 3.1 metres, placing it in the mid-to-large sedan category. The short overhang design maximises interior space.

A LiDAR unit is mounted on the roof, complemented by multiple cameras around the body, suggesting the vehicle will support advanced driver-assistance features. It is expected to offer urban and highway autonomous driving capabilities.
The new sedan is likely to adopt a triple-motor drive system with a peak output approaching 1,000 horsepower, delivering supercar-level performance.

The vehicle is expected to debut the Yunian-M intelligent magnetorheological chassis control system and rear-wheel steering, balancing track-worthy handling with everyday comfort.
BYD Flash Charging technology will come standard, supporting ultra-high-voltage fast charging. Charging rates are expected to reach 4C, enabling significant range replenishment in just 10 minutes.
The final name remains unconfirmed. Test mules have featured candidate names including "Magnesium 7," "Formula," "Radium," and "FORA," with the final decision yet to be made.

Xiong Tianbo, General Manager of BYD Group's Fangchengbao division, stated that the sedan series focuses on "good looks, fun drive, and strong handling," continuing the brand's personalised DNA while standardising BYD Flash Charging technology.
The launch of Fangchengbao's first sedan marks the brand's strategic expansion from rugged off-road vehicles into the coupe segment. With standout features in design, dimensions, driver assistance, powertrain, and charging technology, the new model is set to be a strong contender in its class. For Hong Kong car enthusiasts who prioritise performance, technology, and distinctive design, this model is well worth watching.
