Chery Group March Sales Reach 241,000 Units, Up 12.1% Year-on-Year

On April 1, Chery Group announced its March 2026 sales results: 240,678 vehicles, a 12.1% year-on-year increase. First-quarter sales totaled 601,712 vehicles. New energy vehicle sales reached 161,202 units, while exports hit 393,311 units, up 53.9% year-on-year. As of March 31, Chery Group's cumulative global user base reached 19.12 million, with over 6.23 million overseas users, maintaining its position as China's leading automotive exporter.

Sales Performance: Strong Growth Across the Board

March sales of 240,678 vehicles represent steady growth. NEV sales exceeded 70,000 units, up 12.8% year-on-year. Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. recorded March sales of 228,451 vehicles, a 15% increase, with first-quarter sales of 566,120 units. Chery maintains balanced growth across both combustion engine and NEV segments.

Export Highlights: Record 150,000 Vehicles Exported in March

March exports approached 150,000 vehicles, setting a new monthly export record for Chinese brands. This marks the 11th consecutive month of exports exceeding 100,000 units. First-quarter exports reached 393,311 units, up 53.9% year-on-year, with overseas users surpassing 6.23 million. Chery's global expansion deepened with its appearance at the South Africa Investor Conference, announcing a local manufacturing investment project expected to begin production in mid-2027.

NEV Strategy: Building Momentum

NEV sales exceeded 70,000 units in March, up 12.8% year-on-year. Chery's NEV lineup, including the Fengyun series and Exeed brand, has gained market traction with models like the Fengyun A9L and Fengyun T11.
