The Suzuki Jimny uses a traditional ladder-frame chassis with a high centre of gravity, resulting in some body roll when cornering or driving at high speeds on standard 195 tyres. Some owners have reported improved stability after upgrading to 215 tyres and adding 25mm wheel spacers. In terms of noise insulation, the Jimny's boxy shape leads to noticeable wind noise at highway speeds – normal for this type of rugged off-roader.
