On October 11, the Avatr T09 concept car made its global premiere in Paris, and the interior design was revealed to the public for the first time.

Choosing Paris as the premiere location is a signal in itself. Avatr Technology Chairman Chen Zhuo announced on-site that the brand will officially enter the European market in 2027, with the Avatr 06T and 07L models being the first to land in Norway and Spain. The appearance of the T09 at this juncture is less about the launch of a single product and more like Avatr presenting a design calling card to the European luxury car market.

The Avatr T09 adopts a design route significantly different from the brand's previous models. The Avatr 11 and 12 established a "carefree luxury" product image with their fastback coupe styling, while the T09 shifts to a boxy and substantial flagship SUV stance. The new vehicle's body dimensions are 5285/2025/1810mm, with a wheelbase of 3150mm, adopting a six-seat layout, placing it in the same class as the Li Auto L9 and AITO M9. The most striking feature on the front is the 3D relief structured grille, composed of 362 Avatr Logo elements of varying heights, creating natural variations under light and shadow through height and chamfer differences; the light clusters adopt an inner and outer double-layer diamond cutting process, complemented by a clamshell front hood covering an area of 2.1 square meters and island-like raised sections on both sides, presenting a strong architectural feel overall. The side of the new vehicle features blade-like lines paired with a waist-curving surface, and the D-pillar uses aluminum trim plates to create a floating roof effect.

The interior is the core highlight of this premiere. The orientation of the overall cabin experience focuses more on the balance between business reception and family travel, revolving around three keywords: tranquility, generosity, and connection. The center console area consists of a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and two 17.2-inch 3.4K screens forming an integrated triple-screen display, with the screens seamlessly blending with the air conditioning vents, and an under-screen NFC sensing area integrated below.

The center console area also features an emotional vortex interaction device named Vortex. This system adopts a 360-degree seamless two-stage reverse-curved design. The upper part uses genuine wood material, the main body is smoke gray semi-transparent combined with a laser-engraved star-point structure, internally integrating 118 independently controllable RGB-LEDs, which can link with the vehicle's ambient lighting to achieve scene light effects such as welcome, music rhythm, and rear vehicle warning. During the lifting process, the device is controlled by a silent motor and slow start/stop logic, making the movement process hard to detect, and the anti-pinch protection also avoids accidental pinching risks during use.

The Avatr T09 continues to integrate resources from Changan, Huawei, and CATL. Its intelligent driving system is equipped with Huawei Qiankun ADS 5, adopting a four-lidar scheme. The chassis part is equipped with Taihang Intelligent Control technology, including distributed electric drive, closed dual-chamber air suspension, supporting rear-wheel steering and crab-walk mode, with an officially announced minimum turning radius entering the 4-meter class. Huawei Qiankun XMC digital chassis technology and Taihang Intelligent Control achieve full-domain fusion, collaborating in multi-modal vehicle-road perception fusion and spatial-temporal AI suspension control.

The new vehicle's power system debuts a new intelligent super hybrid technology, composed of a 2.0T hybrid engine and three-motor distributed electric drive. The four engines' combined horsepower breaks the thousand-horsepower mark, and can switch between pure electric, plug-in hybrid, and extended range modes according to scenarios. The battery is equipped with a 71.24kWh CATL Xiaoyao Super Extended-Range Hybrid Battery, with a CLTC pure electric range of up to over 400 kilometers. In addition, MIIT declaration information shows that the T09 also provides an entry-level power scheme with a 1.5T engine plus dual motors, with peak powers of 180kW and 310kW for the dual motors.

From a brand perspective, Avatr's overseas business currently covers 70 countries and regions, with overseas products averaging a selling price of over 300,000 yuan, and has achieved profitability. The market share of high-end electric vehicles in Egypt has reached 10%, and the Avatr 11 ranks first in sales in the Thailand luxury pure electric SUV market. The brand plans to enter more than 110 countries and regions by 2030, with overseas sales share exceeding 50%.

The significance of the Avatr T09 lies in the fact that it is the first time the brand uses an original design language rather than cost-effectiveness or intelligent configuration as the core weapon to enter the high-end market. The grille composed of 362 Logos, the lift-able Vortex device, and the seamless integration of the triple screen and air vents, these design details convey Avatr's desire to establish brand premium in the 500,000-yuan level market through "design distinguishability", rather than a purely configuration-based route. Consumers in the 500,000-yuan level large SUV market have completely different expectations of the brand compared to the 200,000-yuan level market. Users in this price range value "comprehensive experience with no shortcomings" more than "individual highlight", which is also the key to whether the new car can gain market recognition subsequently.
