On the evening of September 29, BYD released a board resolution that set the direction for the next three years again.
At the 9th Board's 1st Meeting, 9 directors passed unanimously. Wang Chuanfu continues to serve as Chairman and President, Lu Xiangyang continues as Vice Chairman, with a three-year term.
In the past three years, BYD rushed from a new energy vehicle company to the center stage of the global auto market. Domestic product lines continued to expand, overseas sales broke through one million units, and investment continued to increase in technical fields such as batteries, smart driving, and charging.
With the board term renewal, the core team has basically no changes, and Wang Chuanfu continues to shoulder both roles. Stable people, stable direction. What BYD wants to do is to follow the road that has been proven and run the next stretch further.

Wang Chuanfu Re-elected, Strategy Does Not Waver
Wang Chuanfu has been Chairman and President since the 8th Board. This time, 9 directors voted unanimously, with zero oppositions and zero abstentions. Everyone decided to continue the approach of the past three years. The announcement also made it clear: shoulder both roles for fast decision-making and smooth execution, so the long-term strategy doesn't need to waver back and forth.
Lu Xiangyang registered BYD Industry with Wang Chuanfu in 1995. He is not only Wang Chuanfu's cousin but also the earliest investor. Thirty-one years later, he still sits in the Vice Chairman's position. Old faces like Xia Zuquan, Li Ke, and He Zhiqi also remain in office. It is quite rare for the core team to be this stable among domestic car companies — it should be known that changing a batch of executives every three years is considered normal in many car companies.
Of course, stability does not equal closure. In the new board, three independent directors, Li Gang, Yu Ling, and Xu Tu, entered the audit, compensation, and nomination committees, and the governance structure was also supplemented.
For a company with a market cap of hundreds of billions, listed on both A-shares and HK-shares, changing a board means re-calibrating the strategic cycle. But BYD's answer is: how it went in the past three years, how it will continue, "Technology is King" will not change.

Chasing Scale and Tracks, BYD Continues to Expand Boundaries
The team is stable, but products are pushing forward.
Fangcheng S, personally praised by Wang Chuanfu at the shareholder meeting, is the first sedan of the Fangchengbao brand, listed on September 16, priced from 189,900 yuan to 229,900 yuan. The Shooting Brake GT version starts at 219,900 yuan. Two weeks after launch, pre-orders exceeded expectations. The company judges that monthly sales can break 10,000, even reaching 15,000.
A pure electric coupe priced in the 200,000 range achieving such expectations counts as a strong product in today's fiercely competitive sedan market.
It is worth noting that sedans have always been the toughest track for Chinese brands, with joint venture brands dominating for years. BYD itself truly stood firm in the sedan market relying on the Han. Now that the new brand Fangchengbao dares to rush in directly, it shows the confidence is different.
On the same day, the 10 millionth whole vehicle came off the line at the Dynasty Network. This is a D-class sedan named "Great Han", with a pure electric range of up to 1008 km, officially launched on October 13. From Qin to Han to Great Han, the Dynasty Network finished the first 10 million units in over ten years, becoming the fastest sales network to achieve this number among Chinese brands.
On one hand, the new brand dares to rush into the sedan track; on the other hand, the old brand broke scale records. Both lines exerted force simultaneously. The Titanium 7 exploded in the first half of the year, Fangcheng S took over next. The Fangchengbao product matrix is being spread from off-road and box-style vehicles all the way to coupes.

Overseas Acceleration, Wang Chuanfu Eyes Global No. 1
Grabbing the No. 1 spot in global car scale by 2030, Wang Chuanfu clearly stated this at the shareholder meeting in June this year, and this time he reiterated it.
The overseas progress bar is speeding up. In 2025, BYD's overseas sales broke through one million units for the first time, with year-on-year growth exceeding 140%. Products have been sold in 119 countries and regions. Factories in Brazil, Hungary, and Thailand have landed successively. The supercharge network also went overseas with the products. The company plans to build 6000 supercharge stations overseas.
Technical reserves can support this ambition. The 2nd Generation Blade Battery and Megawatt Supercharge landed in March this year. The self-developed 4nm smart driving chip Xuanji A3 has been released, and several overseas smart driving training centers have been completed successively.
For Wang Chuanfu after re-election, the hard battles to fight are very clear — "Believe BYD can truly achieve the global No. 1 in scale by 2030."
Summary
Let Familiar People Continue Fighting the Unfinished Battles
From this board term renewal, product dynamics to strategic goals, BYD's current operational logic is relatively clear: management layer remains stable, new and old brands are promoted simultaneously at the product end, overseas market continues to expand. The core team has worked together for a long time, and the strategic direction has not been frequently adjusted. This is an important foundation for a car company with a large scale.
Let the people who understand this company best finish the unfinished battles. We look forward to this determination, allowing BYD to turn plans into achievements step by step in the coming few years.
