Jiangling Vigus Pro is a four-wheel drive pickup model from Jiangling Motors (JMC) targeting overseas markets. This vehicle is a strategic model custom developed by Jiangling Motors for overseas markets such as Malaysia, with its domestic counterpart being theJiangling Yuhu 9. The Vigus Pro was officially launched in Malaysia in October 2021, and is assembled locally (CKD) and sold by Angka-Tan Motor (ATM), a subsidiary of the Malaysian partner Tan Chong Group. The vehicle is positioned as a commercial pickup in the Malaysian market, with main competitors including mainstream pickup models such as Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton, and Isuzu D-Max.

Design Language
The Vigus Pro features a distinctive American muscle car style in its exterior. The front fascia adopts a large hexagonal grille, paired with multiple horizontal intake grilles and a narrow, sharp headlight design, resulting in a fashionable and powerful visual effect. The body lines are rugged, making the overall造型 unique in the Malaysian market. Regarding body dimensions, the length, width, and height are 5305mm, 1905mm, and 1835mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3085mm. Its wheelbase is comparable to the Toyota Hilux, while the body length is similar to the Mitsubishi Triton. Regarding the interior, the Vigus Pro breaks the traditional impression of pickups focusing solely on practicality, offering interior quality comparable to SUVs. The cabin is equipped with a digital instrument cluster, a large touchscreen head unit, and a cool-looking fly-by-wire electronic gear shifter. There are also paddle shifters behind the steering wheel. The seats use manual-adjustable fabric material.
Power Performance
The Vigus Pro is powered by a 2.0L Puma four-cylinder diesel turbocharged engine from Ford. The engine has a maximum power output of 141 horsepower (PS), with a peak torque of 340N·m. The transmission system matches an 8-speed automatic transmission (8AT) provided by ZF. The official combined fuel consumption data is 7.8L/100km. The drive form is front-engine four-wheel drive.
Chassis and Handling
Regarding the chassis, the Vigus Pro uses a body-on-frame structure. The four-wheel drive system is provided by BorgWarner, featuring drive mode switching such as 2H (2WD High), 4H (4WD High), and 4L (4WD Low). The vehicle is equipped with a differential to enhance off-road and recovery capabilities. Regarding the brake system, it is standard equipped with a combined braking system including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and Brake Assist (BA).
Cabin and Configuration
Regarding the cabin, the Vigus Pro comes standard with an 8-inch touchscreen head unit, supporting rearview camera functionality. Comfort and convenience features include projector headlights with automatic opening/closing, LED daytime running lights, front fog lights, electric defogging side mirrors, remote-controlled power windows, and traditional cruise control systems. The vehicle offers four body color choices: Black, White, Silver, and Brown.
Safety and Intelligent Driving
Regarding safety configuration, the Vigus Pro comes standard with dual front airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist (HSA), and Hill Descent Control (HDC). However, the L2 level driving assistance system available on the China market Yuhu 9 model did not appear on the Malaysia market Vigus Pro.
Market Performance and Evaluation
Jiangling Motors is the second best-selling pickup brand in the China market. As Jiangling Motors' first product to enter the Malaysia market, the Vigus Pro was priced at RM 98,888 in West Malaysia and RM 100,888 in East Malaysia when launched in 2021. The new car provides a 3-year or 100,000 km factory warranty. The Vigus Pro has achieved positive progress in the Malaysian market: in August 2025, the vehicle became the first Chinese brand pickup to participate in the Malaysia National Day Parade; in the same year, Jiangling Motors delivered 53 Vigus Pro pickups to the Malaysia Civil Defence Force (JPAM) for national patrol, emergency response, and disaster relief operations. In addition, the Jiangling Vigus series pickups were also delivered to the Benin National Police Force for use.
