Porsche 718 GTS 4.0 最大分別係用咗 4.0 公升自然吸氣水平對向六缸引擎，代替普通版嘅 2.0/2.5 公升四缸 turbo 引擎。GTS 4.0 輸出 400 匹馬力，行車聲浪更澎湃，油門反應更直接，而且係自然吸氣引擎，無 turbo lag。GTS 4.0 仲標準配備 PASM 運動懸掛（車身降低 20mm）、PTV 扭力分導系統同機械式限滑差速器。
