The Mazda CX-60's 48V mild-hybrid system consists of a 48V motor and a small lithium-ion battery, mounted between the engine and transmission. It provides electric assistance during start-off and acceleration (an additional 17 hp and 153 Nm of torque), while recovering energy during deceleration to charge the battery, helping to reduce fuel consumption.
